Re: Sirius*
[ just sort of... wandering away from the window to look at the pictures on the wall—some familiar, some not. ]
Re: Sirius*
Me?
[ is that an answer or -
they're all pretty cute photos. you might even see one of you somewhere! ]
Re: Sirius*
What is this place, anyway?
Re: Sirius*
It's only a house, isn't it?
Re: Sirius*
If you're wearing a ring, shouldn't someone be here with you?
Re: Sirius*
They're out now, but they should be back a little later ...
[ hums a little, thoughtful ]
Well, that aside, Hope - you wanted to kill them1, didn't you?
[ Gorse is a genus of flowering plants in the family Fabaceae. It is closely related to the brooms, and like them, has green stems and very small leaves and is adapted to dry growing conditions. However it differs in its extreme thorniness, the shoots being modified into branched thorns 1–4 centimetres (0.4–1.6 in) long, which almost wholly replace the leaves as the plant's functioning photosynthetic organs. The leaves of young plants are trifoliate, but in mature plants they are reduced to scales or small spines. All the species have yellow flowers, generally showy, some with a very long flowering season.
… And what a hardy little thing it is. Blooming eternally, nestled cheerful above its spines, ever vivacious.
As for you—there is something or someone which binds you, but if you wish to break free you will have to confront the fact that you are entangled with your enemy. Then it simply stands to reason that you be the same—hold steadfast and pierce each binding, and freely embrace all yearning as your heart desires. ]

Re: Sirius*
Should I be something else, I wonder...?
Well -
I've already won, too, so why don't you take those? In exchange, do you think that you could promise me something...?
Re: Sirius*
Re: Sirius*
The next time that you see ‘me’ in this place, make sure that you kill it, okay?
Re: Sirius*
[ and, well—
she's also going to very swiftly take one of the knives she habitually keeps in her belt and try to cut this Aradia's throat. ]
Re: Sirius*
either because she can't or because she doesn't think to - she doesn't defend herself, falling to the ground dead as is the wont of people with their throats cut. ]
Re: Sirius*
surely that can't have been a mistake. she doesn't make mistakes. anyway what she's going to do now is take off her jacket to wrap her hand in, and pull up the potted gorse. ]
Re: Sirius*
... You yank them out. Fortunately, at the end of the day they're only flowers, it would seem: their roots rescind and shrivel up as they wither away, fading into motes of iridescent light.
By the way, in the time you've looked away from Aradia's body, another shrub seems to have sprouted - right from her, where her head was only moments before. ]
Re: Sirius*
well, she's going to uproot that, too. ]
Re: Sirius*
Winding, branching, far longer than the size of the shrub could imply, longer even than her body. ]
Re: Sirius*
that seems. like a problem. maybe she should let it be, for the moment, although she's going to poke around to see if there's anything she might be able to use. like a spade, or something.
also, now that she's uprooted the plants on the windowsill, she's going to pay a little bit more attention to the frequency of who's in the pictures—Amaranth, Persephone, Man☆Eater, and those others she doesn't really recognize. ]
Why these people...
Re: Sirius*
As for the pictures, the frequency seems based on closeness of some... perception or another. Lots of Ruby Sours and Amaranths and Persephones and Eaters and Reds and Amys as "immediate family," siblings and sibling in-laws and parents, while people more in a "close friend" category, her own unit, WILD CITY, sensitIV and the like, are numerous but less so, on and on until you reach the people no one living in this house might know well at all, who might have one photo apiece. ]
Re: Sirius*
I didn't know they were close...
[ well, she's going to get that spade and attempt to... how does she even dig this out. she's going to do her best, though. ]
Re: Sirius*
it isn't too difficult, though. like the others, once she's gotten the whole thing out, it shrivels up and disappears in motes of light. ]
Re: Sirius*
this whole place feels very spooky now so she's going to...
leave. now that she's committed a murder. if she goes back out the same way she came, does that... go anywhere... ]
