When the door unlocks, you can enter your room where the door locks again behind you. The entire room is simply a giant kotatsu couch combo in your unit colors. It's warm and comfy.

There are little oranges and fresh water to drink as well.

For what it's worth, I wish I had a brother or sister here looking out for me. Dunno how it is with you and your brothers so I could be off base there. The only "family" I have here is Gladio and Glacies.
