We can pursue a strategy of going for hearts to end the game sooner. We could play defensively and just try and do the best we can. We could pick an obvious heart so we all loose are minds so it's a little less awful. There's not really a 'win' or a minimum loss strategy—So the only important decision we are going to make is to figure out how to play so we don't regret it, as much as possible.
