10IV start!
Who: 10IV
Where: The 10IV dorms
When: Day 355, morning
[ You all wake up in bed with your smartphone at your bedside, all of you in your sleepwear, with a message on your phone.
Good morning, newly departed guest stars! You've got new co-stars to meet, a new dorm to explore, and the television in the main room with the "names" of everyone in your unit with flashing empty boxes next to them, waiting for you to each assign yourself a personal color. Or assign them to each other, really, no one's stopping you.
Once you've chosen your color (or, once it's chosen for you), your closets will unlock with 3 sets of hospital uniforms fitted exactly to your size.
Also, the front door is currently locked. It looks like you actually have no choice but to get to know each other for an hour or two before those open up. ]

... ]
Have you read the information on your phone yet, little one?
no subject
...I don't remember much, but I think I've been dying for some time, so I think that's why I don't feel awfully surprised about it...
...but I'm pretty sure there's some people who definitely still need me.
no subject
...Do you recall your name? You can call me Iris, if you like.
no subject
But it's very nice to meet you, Miss Iris. I'm sorry that it seems we're all in something of a dire situation, but I'm confident that if we work together we'll have everything in hand.
[ why does this tiny rabbit talk like this. ]
no subject
Just “Iris” is alright.
[ for her part, she has a soft, almost apologetic way of speaking. ]
Amiya... I don’t mean to pry, but do you know how old you are? I...do know better than to make assumptions of that kind, after all.

[ she doesn't seem perturbed by that, just... maybe faintly disappointed? ]
—Unless, of course, it's a very unusual sort of organization.

Miss Blemishine I believe mentioned that it's called "Rhodes Island."
no subject
"Miss Blemishine" must be young acquaintance, then?
[ looking around the room for someone with "Miss Blemishine" energy, whatever that might mean ]

[ points at the horse jock
you know the one. ]

She seems very spirited.
[ pause ] ...Are ears like yours and hers, ah, common where you come from?
no subject
...honestly, I've been trying to figure out where everyone else here is from, since it's hard to pin down. It's not as if there are that many extant aegir, and no one quite has the right hair for a liberi...

I'm very sorry, but I'm not familiar with those terms at all. Just...humans, really—and those beasts which prey on them.
[ a pause; then, as if apologizing ]
You should know, Amiya, that I'm—ah, have you heard of "vampires"?

no subject
...I admit I've never heard the term "Sarkaz," either.

no subject
Yes.
Human blood works best, but I can manage with animal blood as well. I swear, though, on my faith—I won't endanger human life.

...I wonder if I've worked with vampires before? The concept doesn't seem strange to me, in any case. Thank you for your honesty, though—I know we've just met, but I'm inclined to believe the best in people, I think.
