Good morning, newly departed guest stars! You've got new co-stars to meet, a new dorm to explore, and the television in the main room with the "names" of everyone in your unit with flashing empty boxes next to them, waiting for you to each assign yourself a personal color. Or assign them to each other, really, no one's stopping you.

Once you've chosen your color (or, once it's chosen for you), your closets will unlock with 3 sets of hospital uniforms fitted exactly to your size.

Also, the front door is currently locked. It looks like you actually have no choice but to get to know each other for an hour or two before those open up. ]

It's a parasite in the brain that essentially can cause people to grow paranoid to the point where they'll end up killing other people, and then themselves.

So it probably interacts with the amygdala. The part of the brain that deals with emotions. [He flips through the pages.] Do they target subjects of their paranoia, or are they prone to a slaughter? Is there any commonality in suicide methods?

Usually the people they're paranoid of... although that tends to be 'everyone', in the end.

When they kill themselves... they do so by scratching out their throat.

So likely transferred by blood. Travel down from the brain to the throat, infect whoever comes for the body. [A pause, pen tapping his chin, muttering.] Maybe that's why paranoia. Usually stress builds along your shoulders and neck. Forces it enough to get the body to attack itself.... [Another note with question marks.]
