he has to pull his tendrils out of her body to free himself up to move, and a lot of them get torn off in the process - sheared off by the metal plates of her skirt dismantling itself or chomped off into her mouth - but he hauls himself up with another flap of his wings to get out of range, grabs onto her shoulder with his hands and the hooked thorns hidden in his feathers, and tries to sink his teeth into... well she kind of doesn't have a neck but the side of her head where it meets her shoulder. ]
swallowing the arm was also not so bad so let's just do more of that. time to prove that a stomach roughly the size of a basketball can fit all of this in it somehow ]
