[and he suddenly lunges forward, a dark shadow seeming to cover him and trail slightly behind him as his face shifts into a dog-like snout and his fingers elongate into sharp claws that he swings at Maki]

[Her features blur out and her clothes melt away, leaving a figure that looks something like this, red ribbons trailing as she drifts backwards out of the reach of his claws.]

[he's fully in monster form now and snarls as she evades the attack, coiling back to prepare for another strike]

[She changes direction instantly to dart forward, low, trying to hit him with an uppercut blow]

[he manages to move back just enough to barely dodge, claws raking out in an attempt to just hit anywhere he can reach]

[His claws run through her "hair" and just barely graze her head as she ducks further, lashing out with what is probably a leg towards what are probably his knees]

[this time the strike connects, making him collapse to the ground with a lack of dignity that doesn't quite fit this current form]

[She reaches out to try to grab his leg and pull it close enough for her to sink teeth into it.]

[he lets out a how of pain when she bites down, clawing at her arms to try and make her let go]

[rollplayinghouse]

[She does let go when her arms get clawed, rising to her feet to stump on the bite wound instead, her leg better shielded by whatever the red ribbons are.]

[OW THAT HURTS A LOT and gets him to stop clawing on her so. success?]

[Good. This time she tries to take advantage of his reaction to grab his wrist and chomp down on his arm instead.]

[howling again, he swings his other arm to claw at her face]

[unfortunately her face is 100% teeth.

she just opens wide and bites his whole hand.]

[With him sufficiently disabled, she lunges for his neck.]
