Murder Mysterium - Night 2, Master Bathroom

[ HEART SOLDIER SENSHI and AVANTE EN GARDE enter.

Poisonous green floorboards swim up to meet porcelain tile, a vanity area meeting the bathroom proper. The mirror rises up in a full halo, large and low enough to see everything from the waist up. Bottles of perfume and cosmetics are scattered across the surfaces as expensive clutter. Across the way atop the tiles, a clawfoot bathtub sits surrounded by crystal drapes that do nothing to obscure the view. Above that a circular skylight provides a spotlight effect, making it clear what the room's focal point is. It's certainly not the toilet or sink, stashed away behind a folding screen.

Beyond the usual decor of the room, several bladed weapons are embedded in the floors and walls—easily within access for anyone who wants to pull the weapons out and fight.

Both units will find the weapons fairly easy to wield—it is their selection of weapon, after all. They're also aware that, by the end of the night, they'll probably end up hurting themselves on these. ]

Yes, many. Four are from my home, though I only know three of them well.

Which units were they placed on?

Youkai. Tenshi. And Nechromatic.

I assume you also know someone on the temporary units.

On each unit there is an individual from home, except for that of Sea.Di. And my dearest baby cousin is on YOU-kai.

They were counting on a win and the points in order to help get them home.

[There's not much she can say to any of that, either. Nothing comforting, anyway. Nothing that's comforting and true.]

This place is cruel. So terribly, needlessly cruel. Your cousin shouldn't have to suffer like this, for something he could not control.

I just... want to protect him. I want to send him home. Each loss for YOU-kai makes that less likely.

The unit among the temporary units that earns the most points will return to their respective homes.

I would do anything to see that realized for him.

You know... if I were a murderer, and wanted to hide it, it'd be very easy to wound myself and claim it was from a mutual match.

This may not be enough to avoid suspicion. I won't be the only one to have noticed the pattern.

No, you won't have. But theoretically, someone would have to agree they met with them, right?

If two units formed a pact to kill, and claim the other as their alibi? It's possible.

I'm hoping we're never going to get to a place where that's a serious concern...

And I sincerely hope we don't. But it would be well to be wise to the possibility.

Well... if we think people are gonna take this that seriously, we can think about it then. Right now-- I'm not even sure this isn't just bad luck.

Mayhap 'tis simply that YOU-kai - or AlcheME, or whoever was really responsible - simply didn't have the good fortune to find someone they could rely on to protect them.

It hurts, but you’re not in any danger of death.
