thank GOD for sho being a normal reasonable person. it is hard for the void to keep staying depressed like that!
Hope as an idea...
There is amusement, now, as though there's a joke there that Sho wouldn't understand, but it looks like it was some kind of right answer. Slowly, the darkness around Sho resolves into...
...that peculiar blackness of vision you get when you instinctively shut your eyes after stepping out in bright sunlight. Blink once, twice, and the blurry landscape becomes clearer.
A bright summer day indeed, the skies almost painfully blue, the sun filling the air with heat. You're standing on the side of a small hill, the grass waving lazily in the faint breeze. Not too far ahead, the land becomes an outcrop overlooking the sea that merges with the sky. A few trees here and there; cicadas are singing, and so are the birds chasing each other far above.
There seem to be paths trod through the fields and hills, the earth stamped down enough that they must be walked often. In the far distance, there's shapes of buildings - a settlement? But it might be too far to reach on foot.
In the shade of a nearby tree, something glimmers.
Unfortunately, it's not a weapon, but a fancy crystal! (This one is not purple though and doesn't have the constellation on it, it's just hard to find other pics of the forbidden candies).
Once you pick it up, the scenery around you fades away, returning you to the Macarenses Angle. The tower now stands half-destroyed, as though sliced into sections with a great sword, but each part floats as though suspended in zero gravity. The moon in the sky above is replaced by a black hole, and along the sky itself runs... a crack, or perhaps a tear. That sure isn't ominous or anything!
The sunset fire to the left is gone now, however, and one of the doors of the tower stands slightly open. Perhaps you could go in?
But oh, what's this? There's another change! As you hold the crystal, something seems to happen to your vision. Faint silvery lines seem to overlay it - no, it looks like everything around you has a new dimension to it, as though lit by inner fire. Perhaps if you could see the movement of the wind and the flow of static electricity, that is what it would look like, streams of feeble colour and light flowing through everything.
They're not really touchable, but there's just the slightest wiggles in them where Sho's fingers pass through! But they regain their shapes afterwards.
Nope! Every object has its own shape and collection of patterns in it - stone is different from metal different from trees different from the fabric of the robe. The lines flow more freely through the air, but it's like watching the sea: it doesn't particularly lead anywhere, it mostly just exists. It's quite pretty, though! Here and there the flow is stronger, brighter - particularly in the trees and the grass, so that they look as though surrounded and filled with tiny sparkles.

If you ever want to talk, I'm always around, you know.
[ But he's gonna check out that shiny glimmer, maybe it's a weapon- ]
