That seems most unwise. Even if we took it successfully, where do you keep lava.

It should, shouldn't it? Perhaps the arms are somehow made of something that can withstand it, but surely not the entire thing. It seems like begging for disaster.

That is the impression I get, seeing as nothing has happened at all yet. If we reach for something it will turn out to be part of some massive fish, or lava will burn through the hull, something that in retrospect should have been obvious but is our fault for messing around.

That might be a separate winning condition, "most things brought back". But only one worthwhile for those who were going to lose otherwise.
