At no point did the puppy threaten anyone though? It's actually quite cute and peaceful in its sleep.
[ Look at him... ]
I only wanted to prevent a disaster. Or a worse outcome at least. I know that if I owned a pet, I wouldn't sit still if someone began to attack my dog. I merely wanted caution. It seemed excessively forceful to move in with guns blazing before properly assessing the threat and situation. It wasn't until everyone attempted to harm the animal that the man appeared and attacked?
And he only aimed for those that were attacking Spot.
So you decided that the best way to do that would be to stun your own allies and put them at a possible disadvantage to any other enemies in the area - which there was - because you didn't think our assessment was accurate?
Well that... was unforeseen. And I apologize for it, truly. But please try and reflect on how speedy actions can lead to disaster too when taken hastily.

I am a knight. To be blessed with such a position means to walk an upright path, with honor and dignity, and, at the very least, consideration for any opponent it is that I might face. Blindly fighting an unknown simply because it appears before our eyes could lead to grave mistakes and innocent lives lost. We must be thoughtful and discerning before passing judgment upon someone.
Your own speedy action led to an orb being attached to you, just like people warned. I don't think that was a "bad assessment," especially when it seemed to react to that swordsman's powers - which your ally was kind enough to erase before it hit us.
If being a knight means you have the privilege of putting your personal morals above the safety of your own allies, that's fine, but I don't really envy anyone fighting by your side.
You blindly attacking the dog without listening to reason, may well have been the reason that creature descended, to begin with. So-! You can't just say that it was only me who made a mistake here!
Is it? All sorts of innocuous things kept trying to cause us real harm the whole time we've been here - but if it looks like an innocent puppy trying to play, we should wait until it attaches a dangerous item to you and then tries to bite your head off before we try to defend you from it?

It was better that you all stop than actually kill him and make the situation that much worse.
