"Oh, right. Well—the topic of the assignment is what you just experienced, and presenting a thesis on what it—and all of this—means." She gestures back at the library behind her. "You shouldn't need to do field research, although I'll accept any you've already done; the books here should be sufficient for references."

[ what are they called again ]

"Computers" ... Those large cellphones are in the other room ...

Thank you very much. In that case, would it be okay if we talked for a little while, first...?

"Ah—well, if you think that would help. I'm grading these papers, but it doesn't take up that much of my attention."

The top paper in the pile seems to be titled "I think vampires are pretty cool actually," which she has given a 0/10 with the comment "I hate you personally."

"Ah—that's true, I suppose. Although, in my case, I'm a fragment of the subject in question, and therefore my answers are going to be biased in a way that might confuse the data."

She takes that one off the top of the pile and shuffles it to the bottom. "The rest of us will probably be a little bit more insightful into the questions you have, though. They should be around here somewhere."

Thank you very much.

Then, I'll start researching now ...
