hunger games: session 6
[ You find yourself in your respective unit's zone, with a mini-map on your phone, as well as your objectives:

Kill as many competitors as you can.
Destroy zones by breaking their statues.
Not enough action = We start killing you :)
Underneath the objectives is the number of revivals you have left, as well as whatever miscellaneous details about scoring points—killing a unitmate results in negative points, five units will be healed at most, etc.
The starting horn sounds. Let the games begin. ]

Re: HOW STILL MY HEART, HOW HIGH THE MOON
Does ramming a fallen arrow into Zhongli's chest with his free hand count as proving he's of sound mind? ]
1/4 (cw: neck breaking)
Without breaking eye contact, he reaches up and rips the arrow from his chest, snapping the shaft between his fingers. ]

And there is another pause (there is always another pause) as he searches for the light in Venti's eyes that he knows so well. But he does not find it.
And so the neck snaps beneath his fingers just as cleanly as the arrow shaft that preceded it. ]

And surely.
This is what Barbatos would have wanted as well. ]
Re: HOW STILL MY HEART, HOW HIGH THE MOON
Is what he might have thought, but he's not thinking much of anything anymore.
Mercifully, his body dissipates into wind as soon as the life leaves it, with nothing left behind but a few fallen feathers. ]
Re: HOW STILL MY HEART, HOW HIGH THE MOON
He hates this. ]
Re: HOW STILL MY HEART, HOW HIGH THE MOON
Re: HOW STILL MY HEART, HOW HIGH THE MOON
...Where is he?
Re: HOW STILL MY HEART, HOW HIGH THE MOON
Where do they take our souls once our bodies have failed? I do not have the answer to that.

[Presses her lips thin, folding her arms tight across her body. Her expression stays very blank]
What--what now? Gonna bury what's left? Or...?
Re: HOW STILL MY HEART, HOW HIGH THE MOON
I think I shall hold onto this.
I do not want to leave him here of all places.
Re: HOW STILL MY HEART, HOW HIGH THE MOON
What happened?
Re: HOW STILL MY HEART, HOW HIGH THE MOON
So I did what he would have wanted me to do.
Re: HOW STILL MY HEART, HOW HIGH THE MOON
...oh.
Re: HOW STILL MY HEART, HOW HIGH THE MOON
Yes. I did.
