Hunger Games: Session 10
[ You find yourself in your respective unit's zone, with a mini-map on your phone, as well as your objectives:

Kill as many competitors as you can.
Destroy zones by breaking their statues.
Not enough action = We start killing you :)
Underneath the objectives is the number of revivals you have left, as well as whatever miscellaneous details about scoring points—killing a unitmate results in negative points, five units will be healed at most, etc.
The starting horn sounds. Let the games begin. ]

Re: WATER PARK
it seems albert doesn't like the idea. surely albert, independently, has heard this, and disapproves. this is definitely why albert is just ramming its face into rufous' back. (5) ]
Re: WATER PARK
[Movement and instincts kick in because he's been on high alert all day.]
[He side steps quickly with a 5, plus 4, 9!]
Re: WATER PARK
it's too bad polarize exists.
get stuck to this sheep. ]
Re: WATER PARK
[ATTACHED TO SHEEP]
Re: WATER PARK
who is making this face
(also she's being held by pink so it's not very menacing) ]

[Face The Most Blank]
Re: WATER PARK
>:c
:c ]
Well? Did any of us get a point for that?
Re: WATER PARK
Suicide doesn't count. For points or for them to lay off.
That's why I was asking for help.
Re: WATER PARK
What makes you think they're going to count you trying to game the system with getting drowned and then getting revived? You could also call asking someone to kill you suicide-by-proxy, couldn't you?
If that was the case, then isn't that really abusable between pep!pep!s? You could kill someone, bring them back to life, and then kill them again. Over and over again, and you'd technically rack up deaths—the physical phenomenon—
But do you think that's going to satisfy them?
Do you think they're going to reward harm reduction?
What's stopping them from taking the point away every time a pep!pep! revives a person? Do you know if it even works?
Re: WATER PARK
That's why I wasn't going to ask anyone else to do it. My plan, my risk.
Sure, Peps could abuse it, but the runners would love that. They're not counting suicide because people need to die, it's because they want conflict. Drama. They want to see if this could break people and bonds. If this would seed conflict or trauma.
It's a show, after all.
Re: WATER PARK
They're not going to count something that doesn't seed conflict or trauma.
Then, if you want a clean death—no injuries, so it's easier for Mr Pink to revive you to full health—and you want me to do it. . .
Do you trust me to do it because I'm your friend or do you trust me to do it because you think I won't break?
Re: WATER PARK
Re: WATER PARK
Will they or won't they is its own kind of conflict. Just because I believe in you doesn't mean the audience does.
And the smart ones know to bet on me breaking anyway.
Re: WATER PARK
struggling to stand, possibly under the weight of her FEELINGS, but she manages for now ]
Why? Because I don't think I'm that strong.
I've never had a friend before. I've never had. . . to hurt a friend, or to kill a friend. I don't have any memories of killing anyone, either. I'm a volcanologist and Catastrophe Messenger, but I'm not a soldier, and I'm really good at controlling my Arts but I've never had to control my feelings.
What makes you think I could just—kill someone so precious to me, without breaking?
Re: WATER PARK
[And he glances at All The Other People.]
Can we talk alone? There's a locker room.
With promises of no one trying to kill each other or themselves.
I trust you, but everyone else...
[And he doesn't know what is gonna happen when he lets himself Feel again and he can't talk to her about this without Feeling.]
[But exposing himself in front of so many, in front of strangers...]
[Its making it hard to let himself feel it.]
Re: WATER PARK
albert will also immediately go to felicity who is slowly sinking to the ground. sheep is tired. ]
. . . If we can't talk now, we can talk later, okay?
Re: WATER PARK
Makes it hard for people to hear outside.
Re: WATER PARK
[ glancing around. honestly she's not really sure they're gonna be allowed to be unchaperoned but who knows ]
Re: WATER PARK
[To Chivalry.]
There's no time crunch anymore.
Re: WATER PARK
she releases polarize and grabs her sword, sheathing it. ]
...I want to be able to at least still see the two of you. Or even just one of you. I don't care at what distance, as long as I know where one of you is standing and what you're doing with your hands.
Ideally I'd like more than that, but for Felicity's sake I'd rather not be overbearing.
Re: WATER PARK
Re: WATER PARK
You have my oath as the Golden Guard I will not allow any harm to befall either of us while we talk. [He gives Felicity a pointed look.] I will use Cloud Nine to mute your emotions if you try to find a way to kill yourself with a locker.
You should be able to see my red through the water. If you feel the need, you can tie my hands behind my back.
So hopefully Felicity doesn't make it difficult to keep my word this time, especially when its an important oath to me.
