endgame pt 1
Who: Competitors no longer hungry for games
Where: The Game Tower
When: Day 408, night (the game took the whole day)
[ Wow! That was wild. Wild ass shit.
Now you're all here. Most of you remember everything that happened. Some of you might remember most things, but not Session 18/19 because time and stuff. Don't worry. It'll show up in your dreams. :)
Anyway, you're probably wanting to go home now. That's too bad! The doors are locked, so you can just sit back and vibe.
All screens show: Please wait. Processing results.
Powers are off too—but then, you're also not currently injured or suffering from status effects.
All of you except for members of AlcheME!, who all 1) can somehow open the doors and leave, 2) have powers on, and 3) are not healed or revived whatsofuckingever. Status effects are OOC optionally kept, but no extra abilities (such as Flames) are kept.
Well.
It seems like they're probably definitely rock bottom so. ]

Did you ever find your fight?
no subject
You know, I didn't. I found one of Tsukasa's fights, though.
[ ...And the smile slips another notch. He should've 'found' both of Tsukasa's fights. ]
no subject
What about it?
no subject
[ Little shrug. ]
Put a cottage around Tsukasa.

[ There's the briefest pause, then: ]
I didn't want to see him die. ...Got me a point, too, eventually.
[ And it could've been two points, if he'd just... ]
no subject
But the rules did change, so I am glad you did eventually get one point for you unit in that regard.
no subject
...Yeah. [ Sorry, just. Damn. He doesn't totally know what to expect from anyone in the aftermath. Pushes a hand through his bangs. ] [ —Slants a smile in Emet's direction, then tugs the six pack of beer into view. ] Not exactly the drink we were planning, but. One of the AlcheMEs got it for me. B, I think he said.
no subject
I imagine you left him alone.
no subject
Well, he didn't want a beer.
[ This isn't what you meant, is it. ]
no subject
How well do you think your unit did?
no subject
—Not as well as we could've. You weren't the only person who agreed to a match only for the whole dome to blow up before we could actually get anywhere.
[ And then there's the point Tsukasa got, which. He could've stopped that. ]
...and I'm not sure how much the statues actually counted for in the end, either.
no subject
Is something the matter?
Deaths were worth more than the statues, but as long as your unit killed someone you are in the running for pain, but not death. Though I do worry about sensitIV. They were highly non-combatant in the round I was in.
no subject
Maybe. Something I can't actually remember, if so. Might be more of a social drinker.
[ The rest of it... Sorry, Emet, he's just having some free floating did-I-do-enough-dammit-people-were-counting-on-me. You were only one of the people who expressed some kind of faith in him, one way or another, over the course of this sick little game. ] [ But that's a heavy subject, so he'll stick with graveyard humor: ]
I noticed that, too. The peps I've talked to seem nervous, too. [ Crooked smile. ] It'd be a hell of a capstone on this whole thing if the healers and revivers were all down for the count.
no subject
That is hardly what is on your mind, but now is not the best time to pry. Not when the results loom.
Are they? Huh. I never saw one of them honestly.
no subject
Oh, you want a raincheck on the intrusive personal question?
[ But it's a joke. He's — tired. ]
I mean, why not. You fight a guy to the almost-death, obviously that's gonna form a bond.
[ Very, very tired. ] [ Eventually, confirms: ]
That new kid of theirs, he's pretty sure they didn't get any kills in.
[ Plus, you know, various other Peps are laying down as if to die. ]
no subject
The rules did change part way through, but they should have known better. But if that is how they live without regrets, then that is how they live. As long as it is their choice in the end.
no subject
I think I remember — Pink saying specifically that killing people just makes more work for them later.
[ Maybe Emet will appreciate the dry humor of it, too. ]
no subject
Such a terrible burden.
no subject
I'll show you mine if you show me yours?
[ Trade of personal thoughts? ]
We can hold off until — well, maybe until I'm dead, but you know. Mild inconveniences.
no subject
What a privilege it would be being able to grant aide and succor in the worst of times. To be able to help, to ease other's pain.
I suppose the grizzly nature of deaths must be jarring over time, but it is more of blessing than simply work.
no subject
You sure do have a way with words.
