LILIS
[you find yourself in this derelict village, with not a soul to be seen—but before you is this station wagon:

for all intents and purposes, this baby is a simple "honk, steer, pedal to go, brakes to stop" vehicle that anyone with opposable thumbs can drive. despite its age, it does have a handy GPS system that displays paths you can take, but fails to identify anything like landmarks or other worldly features. last but not least: its paint job is done in your unit's color!
The following can be found in the trunk/dashboard:
• Icepicks
• These 5 Bone Saws
• A surgical set
• A single miniature of 99 Bananas
• one large first aid kit containing nothing but bandages and bandaids]

STARTING POINT
Do please choose between the following blessed paths!
[the GPS screen then shows four paths fanned out in different directions, and reads aloud the vague directions in, once again, God's glorious voice]
1) LEFTMOST PATH
2) LEFT PATH
3) RIGHT PATH
4) RIGHTMOST PATH
[the GPS does not give you any hint as to which goes where. just like God herself, it's entirely unhelpful.]

And. Gets to it, he supposes. ]
...Any preference? I can't decide whether it should be an outer or inner path. I have reasons for and against both of them.

Left.

Re: DECISION
ROUND 1
THE OLD FESTIVAL GROUNDS
THE OLD FESTIVAL GROUNDS
The path you've chosen has you coming upon the old festival grounds. You're surrounded by ice sculptures of fanciful buildings—none that can be entered, but plentiful enough to make you feel as though you're driving through a small city of ice.
EVENT: From the distance you can hear a pleasant bassline playing.
But reality is cruel.
The song, "Ice Ice Baby," is playing.
One unlucky person will go deaf—as though something grabbed a hold of their eardrum tightly, flowing like a harpoon, daily and nightly. With some searching, someone can find and rush the speaker that booms, but it'll be too late, this was an unavoidable doom.

And...... now he can't hear anything, cool. Squeezes one eye shut, consideringly, then looks over at Tenn. You okay? ]

Re: DECISION
ROUND 2
THE RUINS
THE RUINS
The path you've chosen leads you through the ruins of something that once was. Various structures lay in waste, as if destroyed not by time, but by something far more dangerous. It's fine.
EVENT: As you're driving through, the compulsion strikes—you have to remove it. Remove what? It. Without thinking, and any means to be dissuaded from doing so, they are driven to rip their own clothes off and claw at their own skin and flesh repeatedly, trying to remove "it"... and in due time, this feeling will pass, but this person will still be left with the injuries they gave to themself.

ONE OF YOU ARE FREEZING!
Hypothermia: you're freezing, and if you don't get body heat now (or through the night) from at least one other person, you get the feeling you won't make it through the night.
Frostbite: one part of your body (a finger, a hand, a foot, a limb, a patch of skin, ANYTHING) is being consumed by numbing frostbite. If someone doesn't help you remove it stat, you will not make it through the night.

Re: DECISION
ROUND 3
THE WATERFALLS
THE WATERFALLS
The path you've chosen is taking you under a scenic waterfall. The area here feels colder, and water is splashing everywhere. Better keep your windows up!
EVENT: Just kidding, keeping your windows up will do nothing. A stream of water crashes through the flimsy roof and onto just one person. The water is so strong, and so cold, that it takes with it a large area of your skin entirely.

Re: DECISION
ROUND 4
THE FROZEN LAKE
FROZEN LAKE
The path you've chosen is taking you across a frozen lake that will not handle the weight of your station wagon. If you wish to proceed forward towards the "FINISH LINE" in the distance, you will need to step out of the vechicle and walk across yourself.
EVENT: The lake seems to have never been meant to hold the weight of people either—it abruptly cracks, and splits into several many floes. One of you are lucky enough to remain on the solid part of the ice, safe and sound (more or less.)
One of you are not as lucky.
You're swept away by a floe, and dropped haplessly from the imbalance into the freezing water now exposed. Try as you may to keep your head up, reach your hand out for the edge, even as a unitmate tries to help, but—you will feel yourself sinking beneath the blue for good here soon.
Death is inevitable.
