ZRAEL
[you find yourself in this derelict village, with not a soul to be seen—but before you is this station wagon:

for all intents and purposes, this baby is a simple "honk, steer, pedal to go, brakes to stop" vehicle that anyone with opposable thumbs can drive. despite its age, it does have a handy GPS system that displays paths you can take, but fails to identify anything like landmarks or other worldly features. last but not least: its paint job is done in your unit's color!
The following can be found in the trunk/dashboard:
• Icepicks
• These 5 Bone Saws
• A surgical set
• A single miniature of 99 Bananas
• one large first aid kit containing nothing but bandages and bandaids]

STARTING POINT
Do please choose between the following blessed paths!
[the GPS screen then shows four paths fanned out in different directions, and reads aloud the vague directions in, once again, God's glorious voice]
1) LEFTMOST PATH
2) LEFT PATH
3) RIGHT PATH
4) RIGHTMOST PATH
[the GPS does not give you any hint as to which goes where. just like God herself, it's entirely unhelpful.]

Looks like they don't expect us to all make it out intact.

Nevertheless, we can do our best to try to assure no one is harmed.

ROUND 1
THE FENCED AREA
THE FENCED AREA
The path you've chosen leads you towards a closed iron gate. As ornate and lovely as it is, there's no clear reason for its existence—there's no house, no garden... if it doesn't exist to keep others out of the village, it simply exists to be a pain.
EVENT: It's impossible to drive through the fence, try as you may. One person will need to get out and open it. However, in doing so, their hand(s) will freeze to the gate. Trying to pull themself free won't do the trick, so the use of some tools will be necessary.

ROUND 2
THE ICY CAVERNS
THE ICY CAVERNS
The path you've chosen has you passing through the caverns. Rows of enormous stalagmites made of solid ice hang overhead like hundreds of pointed ballerina legs. By virtue of being enshrouded in thin darkness and surrounded by thick ice, you'll find that it's colder here than the outside—which is saying a lot.
EVENT: Despite anyone's cautionary measures, a massive icicle the size of a baseball bat falls and impales someone on the shoulder. Removing the remnant of icicle in their flesh and treating the bleeding wound will help, but they'll find it near impossible to use that arm for the rest of the trip.

Driving through this is going to be a pain. Probably literally.

ROUND 3
THE CABIN
THE CABIN
The path you've chosen leads you to a blocked road, with a sign that reads "You can rest in the cabin for the night, this will be cleared by the morning!" Indeed, there is a cabin not far off. If you refuse to enter the cabin and remain in the car, you will find that time isn't moving at all for you or anyone. It seems that the cabin is a required pit stop.
EVENT: Within the cabin is a large kotatsu, heated up and surrounded with comfortable cushions. Regardless of your interest in sitting at it, one of you are strangely compelled to sit at it no matter what. In a short amount of time, everyone will get the feeling that it's time to leave... but the person driven to sit at the kotatsu will find that their legs have melted together, from the inner thighs down to their ankles. Moving will be very, very, difficult. And painful.
(Everyone can sit at the kotatsu, but only one person will get fucked up by it.)

ALL OF YOU ARE FREEZING!
Hypothermia: you're freezing, and if you don't get body heat now (or through the night) from at least one other person, you get the feeling you won't make it through the night.
Frostbite: one part of your body (a finger, a hand, a foot, a limb, a patch of skin, ANYTHING) is being consumed by numbing frostbite. If someone doesn't help you remove it stat, you will not make it through the night.

ROUND 4
THE MOUNTAIN
THE MOUNTAIN
The path you've chosen has you traveling alongside the base of a snow-capped large mountain. At least you're not climbing it with a station wagon. That'd be a nightmare. In the distance you can see something eye-catching: a checkered "FINISH LINE" indicating the end of this hellish adventure.
EVENT: It happens all at once: suddenly an avalanche sweeps the vehicle away with everyone in it. When you blink and come to your senses, all but one of you were somehow ejected from the car—which is now trapped under the snow, with that one unitmate still inside.
Try as the trapped unitmate may, nobody can dig through the rocks, ice, and slush to set them free. As the unlucky soul begins to freeze and lose oxygen at an alarmingly fast rate, they can still hear their unitmates outside of them and speak with them, though it's muffled in difficult. There isn't much time left for them.
Their death is inevitable and they cannot be saved.
