Should be saying the frightening, sickening, terrible and terribly brave sorts of things one hears from someone staring their end in the eyes. Alisaie doesn't want to hear it, hear him weakening, hear him talking of her as the reason they have to--

[He can barely feel his hands, anymore; a blessing, in some ways, considering the skin missing from his palms. But now that he's lost sensation, his fingers are starting to work poorly, making it harder to haul the bigger rocks out of the way]

[ Oh dear.

It is at this point that he is going to drag Alisaie away to deal with her frostbite. It is not that he is unmoved by Alphinaud's plight. It it just - he knows what needs to be done with the situation gets this dire.

And that unfortunately does not account for the emotional toil that this will have on all of them. ]
