Well-- it's not nice to say bad things about people. To Ren, who cares about her sister deeply, that's hurtful too... isn't it?

Not that it's right but-- you should try to look at it from her perspective too. Maybe then she wouldn't seem quite so scary. After all... we all have people we just want to protect. Right?

[He considers her words for a moment.]

That's true. She does try her best to protect people. Even though she's scary sometimes... it's for other people and not herself.

[Playing with the blue badge still in his hands.]

Mm, that's right. I'm sure she felt bad too. But, well... sometimes our feelings get the best of us. Especially when it's something we feel strongly about.

[Serenity's eyes go to the badge, though.]

...where did you find that?

[He holds it up for her to see.]

I don't know for sure if this will help you though. I like Ai... but I don't think they want to be separated again.
