Continuing along, the change is almost imperceptible. For a while, all that they walk past are the shadowy forms of mannequins lining the floors - but at some point, they aren’t just mannequins, but bodies, bloodied and maimed. Before long, there’s nothing but bodies all around, a mountain in front and scattered corpses behind, some still alive enough to groan and cry in voices that, at times, may even sound familiar.
But there’s one in particular, nearer, clearer to see than the rest. Because looking properly, they’ll find the body of Amaranth.
Though her body has been repaired to the point of recognizability, there are still signs - a skeletal arm where the flesh was melted off completely, among other patches of flesh seared from bone. She’s alive - but barely so.
And to top it off - whether or not your character intends to help, they have their own wounds to worry about. Their missing right arm will surely need to be dealt with before they can assist. But somehow...
Somehow, your character just knows; for this moment alone, they have regained sensitIV's power. They can heal wounds into scars, mend broken bones, attach or detach limbs or other organs, and manipulate flesh as though it were clay. But...
Is that even sufficient for fixing - for healing all of this...?
Much like the powers, there’s another sense, another tickle of knowledge.
Someone else could do this. Someone else could fix everything - there’s no need to take responsibility, not for something so complex...
i guess it's time to just apply his own flesh to and share his blood with amaranth and reform her body as much as he can while he munches on corpses he's going to smack izanagi upside the head when he's done ]
he's less worried about her arm and more about making sure her torso and head are solid enough that she's not going to die so at least one or two of these corpses are just being fully eaten. how's she doing doc ]
Eventually, she's healed, resting peacefully, breathing even and without pain.
You know in your heart that this isn't the end. They'll die and continue to die, over and over and over. But it's okay. Everyone knows you'll always be there to fix them up, again and again, friendly and smiling. You'll figure out how to fix it all, even past the limitations of your powers. You will never need anyone else to look out for you - you can heal yourself, can't you? Never insinuate anything is needed or desired, nothing that could breed resentment over the power over the lives and deaths of others, the power you never asked for. You'll handle it all, again and again, smiling because at least you aren't helpless, at least you can do something.

Re: 3/3 cw autocannibalism
a veritable mountain of corpses all over, my dude.
But she is definitely a lot of literal skin and bones, because there isn't enough flesh on her to cover the bone.]
Re: 3/3 cw autocannibalism
he's going to pick her up and see if he can carry her the fuck out of heerrreee ]
Re: 3/3 cw autocannibalism
Wait, was that the way to the entrance?
Where is the entrance, anyway?
At any rate, he better figure out something fast before she really does die.]
Re: 3/3 cw autocannibalism
how fresh are these corpses. ]
Re: 3/3 cw autocannibalism
Looks like whatever caused all this destruction caught quite a few people in it.]

Doesn't that make you happy?
Your character wakes up perfectly healed in a room. Their hangman game has been updated.
