Nemesis and Hurricane's Ideal World: Session 2

[The sky above is a deep, unnatural crimson, filled with roiling clouds and creatures that are a sickly oil-slick black. They writhe and wriggle like something out of a Lovecraftian nightmare; they have entirely too many eyes, and entirely too many wings, and when they open their mouths, they have entirely too many teeth]

[Below them, the city of Tokyo is half-shattered; above the rooftops, mechanized suits the size of people hover in the air, darting in out of the chaos, laser blasts and explosions and wickedly sharp blades fighting tirelessly against the endless onslaught]

[Until finally, the last creature falls]

[All at once, civilians flood the streets of the city; the lights come on in all the buildings, which somehow have become whole again, safe and unharmed. A cheer goes up from the crowd. Overhead, a stunning fireworks display paints the night with light and color]

[And they all lived happily ever after]

[The end]

So, how long do you give it before everything inevitably falls apart again? Knowing this place, I'd say... ten minutes, mayhap?

Perhaps twenty, if we're exceptionally fortunate.

But it's a dream. And it can't last. And we're here to ruin it. Wonderful.

[She goes and knocks on the wall of the house.]

I just got Nemesis back from being all grey, I'm not leaving her here no matter what. Hurricane either. [ She likes Hurricane a lot but has a clear priority ]

It certainly isn't. No war worth the fighting ends so cleanly, and none worth the name without cost. It's not a thing to be tidied away and forgot.

True enough. But I'd rather have an actual fight than trying to talk someone out of paradise.

[Whatever her general experiences, these doggos (or kiddos) don't seem to be spooked by her in the least. They run off, but due to playing, not due to fear]

[ Oh. Okay then. Up to the roof it is. She even uses the ladder like a good girl instead of trying to just acrobat on up there. Maybe she can see what's around. ]

[There's a large Baritones, for one. And that's not all...]

This place seems... oddly quaint.

It is quaint. [ She doesn't find it odd at all. Fitting, in a way. Just like somewhere they'd want to stay forever. She'd bet there's something fight-related around, though. ]

If I were going to be trapped somewhere I didn't want to leave, it would look like this.

[ She is very quietly furious right now, and it definitely shows. ]

[ He definitely is getting some kind of vibe off of her. ]

Most of it's just being mad at this place messing with them, they deserve better.

Nemesis and I also have sort of a thing happening and I'd rather not lose her like this.

I am glad to hear that. I think the both of you would be good for each other.

You think they mean to give them a glimpse of happiness only to later take it away?

It's not real, so I doubt it'll last. And if it is this place, it might not stay peaceful.
