[The sky above is a deep, unnatural crimson, filled with roiling clouds and creatures that are a sickly oil-slick black. They writhe and wriggle like something out of a Lovecraftian nightmare; they have entirely too many eyes, and entirely too many wings, and when they open their mouths, they have entirely too many teeth]

[Below them, the city of Tokyo is half-shattered; above the rooftops, mechanized suits the size of people hover in the air, darting in out of the chaos, laser blasts and explosions and wickedly sharp blades fighting tirelessly against the endless onslaught]

[Until finally, the last creature falls]

[All at once, civilians flood the streets of the city; the lights come on in all the buildings, which somehow have become whole again, safe and unharmed. A cheer goes up from the crowd. Overhead, a stunning fireworks display paints the night with light and color]

[And they all lived happily ever after]

[The end]

Much more calm. Honestly, if you desire to wake the both of them up, take them towards the cemetery. But even I think that is rather cruel.

Well, I am here to be nice. The damage one can do to an ideal scenario is much worse than any consequence to a game.

[Though he does laugh.]

You can toss her in the cemetery. It looks like you have enough there to dig a new spot.

I didn't kill his mother. I should get awarded for letting that horrible woman live. I'm just looking to find all the flaws in this 'slice of heaven' to convince them to come back. [ shrugs. ] You have you ways and I have mine.

[He ruffles his hair.]

I didn't mean to imply you did. She would hardly be any sport after all.

And I do not doubt you approach. Sometimes more direct does get the job done.

...mm. [ just a hum in response to that. ] Maybe I will take her there though. What kind of graves did you come across?

[He shows him a picture]

All idols. Perhaps deaths in games.

Deaths he considers his fault, maybe, because that can't be all of the deaths suffered at the hands of the production. [ that graveyard would be FUCKEN MASSIVE. ]

Could be. There was a building further beyond, but it was rather uncomfortable so I did come here to see if the children were actually here.

Would you like help in carrying any of that while you explore the barn?

If you need a knife all you've got to do is ask.

But otherwise, no, I'm content to cart everything around. If I need to stab anything or anyone I like to have options.

I do not need a weapon.

[It definitely is. A group of children is playing tag, shrieking with laughter]

[He is going to play fetch with the dogs and play with the kids. Not tag, but you know encouraging them to run after each other, picking some of them up when they look tired, and giving them ridiculous rules to add to the game like a weird uncle would.

Oh an probably being a jungle gym for sure because of his height.]

[They are delighted to have some to play with]

[Not all of the kids are particularly fast, especially since some are unsteady on makeshift prosthetics or far too many dogs running around or just from being small. But they all seem thrilled enough just to have the attention, and don't try too hard to escape]

[He kneels.]

Are you joining us for the party this evening?

[A child with a messy bowl cut drags her toe through the dirt, looking shy]

Ain't that enough? That's the most important thing to them, anyways. Being able to be with the people they love.

I suppose that is a more lasting and easier gift than a new motorcycle or couch.
