Nemesis and Hurricane's Ideal World: Session 2

[The sky above is a deep, unnatural crimson, filled with roiling clouds and creatures that are a sickly oil-slick black. They writhe and wriggle like something out of a Lovecraftian nightmare; they have entirely too many eyes, and entirely too many wings, and when they open their mouths, they have entirely too many teeth]

[Below them, the city of Tokyo is half-shattered; above the rooftops, mechanized suits the size of people hover in the air, darting in out of the chaos, laser blasts and explosions and wickedly sharp blades fighting tirelessly against the endless onslaught]

[Until finally, the last creature falls]

[All at once, civilians flood the streets of the city; the lights come on in all the buildings, which somehow have become whole again, safe and unharmed. A cheer goes up from the crowd. Overhead, a stunning fireworks display paints the night with light and color]

[And they all lived happily ever after]

[The end]

[ Shakes her head, ] I couldn't stay long enough to find out, too much blood smell in the air. Caeli's checking it out, I threatened him if he gets into trouble and doesn't call for some help but if you wanted to go in after him...

[ She's very clearly upset about having to leave but it would have been very not pretty if she stayed. ]

I shall go inside. Just to be sure.

While talking to the children, I learned of an old man that they do not like. And to avoid the church if possible.

Though I still do not know the cause of their distrust of him.

If they don't trust him, we probably shouldn't either. But I don't trust a thing in here except the people we came in with, so.

A fair assessment. And one I agree with wholeheartedly.

But I have found that children typically have better eyes and ears than others. As people tend to underestimate them.

[As you start to head off, you hear a voice calling back from near the house. It sounds like Hurricane:]

Dude, where are you going? You better not be late.

[And then Nemesis:]

Party time! Get over here!

[You can see fairy lights twinkling in the trees, and the sounds of a celebration]

[Hadn't you better head to the party?]
