Nemesis and Hurricane's Ideal World: Session 2

[The sky above is a deep, unnatural crimson, filled with roiling clouds and creatures that are a sickly oil-slick black. They writhe and wriggle like something out of a Lovecraftian nightmare; they have entirely too many eyes, and entirely too many wings, and when they open their mouths, they have entirely too many teeth]

[Below them, the city of Tokyo is half-shattered; above the rooftops, mechanized suits the size of people hover in the air, darting in out of the chaos, laser blasts and explosions and wickedly sharp blades fighting tirelessly against the endless onslaught]

[Until finally, the last creature falls]

[All at once, civilians flood the streets of the city; the lights come on in all the buildings, which somehow have become whole again, safe and unharmed. A cheer goes up from the crowd. Overhead, a stunning fireworks display paints the night with light and color]

[And they all lived happily ever after]

[The end]

[She sees white and she screams.

[Alisaie pushes herself back up to her elbows and snatches for the rapier again, dragging herself upright on the edge of a table, spilling plates and cups and a selection of savories and maybe now it'll sink in this is a really awful place to have a party--

[She flings a bottle at the face of the monster, and another: it keeps coming, it just keeps on coming, damn it--!! and she slashes desperately at it with her rapier, hopping against hope it at least has some internal organs to damage.]

[The goat-headed figure does not scream--does not even flinch. Even as her rapier slashes at its robes, there is no indication whether or not the hit affected it at all. It brings the hammer up again, 24 to hit, 3 damage if it does]

Alisaie! [ Since saving people's asses takes precedence ofer trying to destroy the nightmare fuel before them, Alizarin rushes in with her boosted abilities and strikes at the figure about to kill her friend, hitting with a good strong sword swing (17, 12 damage). ]

Get out of here! [ she calls to Alisaie as she engages, ] I've only got another few minutes before my ability wears off and I'll be weakened.

With a strange lack of sound, it falls back and to the ground, steaming red ichor flowing from the slice down its front and the smaller rapier strikes from before]
