Liyue Harbor

Welcome to Liyue Harbor - or specifically the docks. Here ships large and small moor at the piers to spread trade and commerce between Liyue and the rest of the world of Teyvat. Be sure to watch your step, because the docks are always bustling and you're likely to get swept away with the tide if you're not careful.

Within the docks, there are two places to go:

The Traveler's Gate: Between the two pillars framing the entrance (and not pictured) is a large circular gate which pulses occasionally with a blue energy. With every pulse, it seems a new visiting Traveler enters the harbor. How curious indeed. Even from this distance, you can see Zhongli there.

The Fishing Association: What's a harbor without fishing? Surely you have time for a little rest and relaxation. Surely…

You may also travel to: the marketplace, the mountains in the distance, or the central pavilion.

[ Relaxing somewhat now that solid ground's beneath her, she does one slow scan all the way around. How to know what's not right in a place she's never been? Probably ask people. Hopefully none of them are aggressive, she doesn't want to make a mess. ]

[ Hesitates for half a moment upon seeing Zhongli; her presence in his world isn't proper, whatever contract she's accepted. But he's the best place to go for answers, so ]

[ Heading over to Zhongli, keeping her sword behind her in as nonthreatening a manner as she can get it. ]

Quite a way to travel.

Liyue Harbor: The Traveler's Gate

You arrive just in time to see Zhongli greet the newest arrivals through the gate - the Imeeji idols Hurricane and Nemesis. Zhongli himself looks just as he does in Imeeji, complete with Heart Soldier Senshi uniform and golden horns crowning his head. Quietly, he exchanges a few words with the new arrivals, laughing softly before gesturing somewhere farther into the Harbor. Hurricane whoops excitedly before grabbing Nemesis's hand and heading off in that direction.

In addition, you will find the two Elven twins Alphinaud and Alisaie among the visitors to Liyue as well as Izanagi, who seems to be finishing up his own trip.

Your vision glows.

And Zhongli turns to Alizarin with a smile if not looking a little confused that she came from... not the gate.

"Alizarin. I did not expect you today. You should have told me you were coming."

[ Her eyes trail after Nemesis and Hurricane, brow furrowing. They must not recognize her; sounds about right for this place -- uh, Tokyo-F that is. ][ And next to Alisaie --]

[ Drawing a deep breath, used to the disorientation of intense feelings that have no memories attached by this point. Doesn't make it pleasant, but she can overlook it for now. ]

[ Okay, focusing. ]

I didn't know myself. It's a lovely place.

The docks is the heart and soul of the city. I could spend hours just watching the ships coming back and forth.

If you continue past the harbor, you'll find your way to the marketplace. All of Liyue's finest wares can be purchased there as well as you can sample cuisine that is famous throughout all of Teyvat.

You're also incredibly fortunate. Today is the Rite of Descension where the Geo Archon comes down and blessings the people of Liyue for another year. The preparations should be underway now.

And if you are feeling a little claustrophobic, I'd recommend you take a walk outside the city toward the mountains. You might find some people I'd think you enjoy.

The edges of the world fade around you as you suddenly come face to face with yourself. The sound of the other Travelers and Liyue harbor become indistinct. Your doppleganger bows in a standard Liyue greeting, posture too perfect and movements too precise, making it seem uncanny for a moment.

[ "Hey dude, you finally made it. I got something for ya." ]

A gaming menu also flickers to life in front of your eyes:

• Details: You may ask your doppleganger questions until you get one answer that will assist you in repairing Zhongli's erosion.
  
• Ascend: You may add +1 to any stat (following the rule that it does not exceed +2).
  
• Refine: You will be healed to full health or can choose to be revived to 1 HP should you fall to 0 health.

Well... I mean. There's this erosion thing, right? And it's messing with Zhongli.

So we gotta find all the stuff that's weird around here and fix it, so he can go back to being him again.

So I guess... what's the best thing we can do to help stop the erosion before stuff goes sideways? And where do do go to do it?

It's all about his memory. He's seeing people that shouldn't here, yanno. And they're everywhere. So in order to fix it, you need to either get rid of them like they should be or convince Zhongli that they're not actually here.

Like the contract says, Zhongli's memory is going. He's seeing so many people here that shouldn't be in Liyue. Either dead or gone or were never here in the first place.
