Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
I think I'll just head back to the restaurant now.
Wouldn't want to keep Mr. Zhongli waiting.
Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
[ looking to alisaie and alphinaud like !?!?!?! ]
Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
[ELM: 2. Okay maybe it's not the best attack but it does keep him from leaving????
Sorry, sister.]
Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
[ And that hydro attack does not even leave Alphinaud's fingertips before it recoils immediately and retaliates against him instead, the water forcing itself down his throat in an attempt to drown him.
SPD: 5 to not drown and die. Sorry, friend. ]
And I believe all of you have overstayed your welcome.
[ For the others present, a hydro arrow comes flying in your direction. SPD: 4 to dodge it. ]
Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
Thanks for giving him more nightmare fuel, grandpa.]Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
[ she's too slow to intervene—the arrow pierces her in the shoulder and she yelps, bracing against her staff. her panic coalesces into one thought—the will to use her vision.
"It's a sign of your ambition. Let your creativity guide you, and it will answer your call."
from her staff swirls erratic winds, spinning out in a spiral. sorry to the bookshop and also everyone around it. ELM nat 4 + 2 = 6 ]
Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
Alphinaud!!
[Alisaie sees him goes down, she sees how it happened--]
Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
You bastard.
[No time to be subtle. No time for flash.
[She volleys a fireball straight at Childe. May it burn him to a cinder.]
[ELM: 8]
Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
But at the time, Childe was sweeping in for a second attack, two water knives merged to form a water spear.
Luckily, the after-effects of the whirlwind, blow the attack wide, just grazing Felicity but it doesn't look good for her sheep. It's probably not water proof.
Alisaie---
Alisaie, on the other hand, earns the full swipe of the hydro lance and the rare crit from Childe before he falls to the floor, hacking up blood and smoldering ash. It's hard to survive cooked insides. ]
Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
[ only watching in helplessness when alisaie's swiped by the lance, clinging onto her staff ]
Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
[ this sure is. he's going over to felicity and assuming she doesn't freak at the sight of him, he's setting a claw gently on her head. ]
We should get you out of here.
Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
. . .Okay.
[ looking down to Albert . . . which is now no longer functional ]
. . . Albert?
[ oh no ]
Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
It's more important to. . . to take Miss Alisaie and Mister Alphinaud back. I can repair Albert later, but they. . .
Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
I don't think there's anything to be done for either of them here. On the other side, perhaps, we can ease their pain, but... [ just going to nudge her again. gently. ]
Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
Okay.
[ gonna go with him then ,_, ]
Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
she does remember though, that alisaie and alphinaud had been reading scrolls, so she's going to go fetch them first before they go ]
Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
it breaks. ]
[ pentium isn't going to stop her, but he does tip his head like ??? ] What are those?
Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
Uhm. . .
They're stories . . . Mister Alphinaud and Miss Alisaie were reading them. I think they must be important to Mister Zhongli, since they're written in a different language from the other books, so . . . I thought I should bring them to him. . .
Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
Re: Doppleganger: Felicity
. . .
I should have. . . talked to him about it, instead of. . .
[ trailing off, clutching the scrolls a little tighter ]

[hard to survive that, too.
[She's felt all this before. It hurts and it hurts - a sudden split second of searing, tearing, impossible pain - and it wasn't going to happen that time, either, she'd known in an eyeblink that this was it. And she's furious and she's heartbroken and yet--
[she's almost glad, isn't she? Almost grateful. And something in her is whispering:
[did you really want to?
[Not without him, no.
[Not like this.]
