He was your friend. More than that. And he was sorry to be leaving you there. But he would have wanted you to have the chance to get out, too: really, truly out, away from all of these games, not this half-version they've dredged up from what they've only let you half-recall. He would want you to live - really live.
This is a cage, Ren. It's a beautiful cage, but it's a cage all the same. Cobalt would never have wanted you to live confined to it, and I wouldn't want you too, either. Not me, or Alizarin, or Lupine, or any of the people waiting for you, on the outside.
[She nods, listening to her words. She's right. She's right, even if it hurts. Even if it's lonely. Even if everyone might leave her.]
I know the way out. My mother was protecting it for me, I think.
[She's aware, on some level, that all of this was a product of the game but it's more than that. In each room, one of her parents was always protecting her, even if they couldn't be physically there.]
Don't be. It's not your fault. If anyone should be sorry, it's the Producers.
[She squeezes her hand.]
I don't know if they'll let us walk with you. But I'll be there, every step I can be. We'll all be waiting for you, when you wake up. And - somewhere out there, even if she can't be by your side straight away? I know your sister is waiting for you, too. You'll see her again. You will do.
Even if we had to meet this way, Ren... I'll always be glad that we met.
