Deep red flowers covered the surface of the ground as far as the eye could see.
There was nothing, except for the expanse of blue sky.
No one could be seen on the prairie.
Even so, the singing voice flowed through the space of crimson and blue.
It was a song which was slow yet lively.
The song continued in joy and melancholy.
I’ll give you some flowers Some lovely, colorful flowers. So that you might be happy. So that you might smile.
Finally, the song ended with a beautiful, extended, high-pitched note.
Soon after the song had ended, a voice could be heard calling out,
“Encore!”
“I’d love to hear one or two more songs, or…”
“Or what?” asked the voice which had been singing.
“Or you could pick me up,” the first voice replied.
“Ahaha. I understand, then just one more――”
The singing voice was heard once more throughout the crimson prairie.
There was the sound of a film roll coming to an end. And so, your character finds themself in a field of red flowers. In the distance, someone can be heard singing...
It seems your character is no longer an audience member, but a part of the story itself. They may act as they wish.

[He knows these red flowers.]
[Another one of these spaces for Kino?]
[He will get up and look for the source of the singing.]
Re: Prologue: “Amidst a Crimson Sea” • b ─Blooming Prairie • b─
Looks like there's company.
[At which point the singing trails off and Kino sits up, eyes on Rufous.]
Oh... It's another traveler.
[They pick themself up off the ground, patting the flower petals from their long brown coat.]

Kino, that might be a big simplification... wait, more importantly, are you just going to leave me on the ground?!
...I guess you're right. Okay, hold on.
[Please hold while they stand up the talking motorcycle.]
Re: Prologue: “Amidst a Crimson Sea” • b ─Blooming Prairie • b─
[He does look over at Hermes and will get closer to take a look.]
I mean more did you forget me?
Re: Prologue: “Amidst a Crimson Sea” • b ─Blooming Prairie • b─
As for traveling... if you're just starting out, should I give you some advice?
Are you sure you want advice from Kino? Most of the time they're just making it up as they go along-
[Hermes quiets when Kino kicks him.]
Re: Prologue: “Amidst a Crimson Sea” • b ─Blooming Prairie • b─
...I guess so.
Re: Prologue: “Amidst a Crimson Sea” • b ─Blooming Prairie • b─
"Make sure you see everything you want to before you have to go," and "When you want to continue, turn the page."
That's how you normally progress through a good story, isn't it?
Exactly.
Re: Prologue: “Amidst a Crimson Sea” • b ─Blooming Prairie • b─
...ah. So its like that. [Magical story time.]
And this place is your story?
Re: Prologue: “Amidst a Crimson Sea” • b ─Blooming Prairie • b─
Re: Prologue: “Amidst a Crimson Sea” • b ─Blooming Prairie • b─
I'll remember the events. So they live on with me even if they somehow come to an end, right?
Re: Prologue: “Amidst a Crimson Sea” • b ─Blooming Prairie • b─
Do you have any other questions?
Re: Prologue: “Amidst a Crimson Sea” • b ─Blooming Prairie • b─
Like when you remember someone. Sort of thing.
Is this another one of those places I need to wake you up or a feelings talk or...?
Re: Prologue: “Amidst a Crimson Sea” • b ─Blooming Prairie • b─
...I'm not sure. I think... whatever you decide to do, it's probably enough.
That's so vague.
[Turning to Hermes.]
It can't be helped. Life doesn't have clear answers all the time, you know.
Re: Prologue: “Amidst a Crimson Sea” • b ─Blooming Prairie • b─
Do you want me to explore?
Re: Prologue: “Amidst a Crimson Sea” • b ─Blooming Prairie • b─
Or, more specifically, I don't really "want" you to do anything in particular. You can do whatever you feel like.

Re: Prologue: “Amidst a Crimson Sea” • b ─Blooming Prairie • b─
Re: Prologue: “Amidst a Crimson Sea” • b ─Blooming Prairie • b─
So, what about your friend? He has any advice, since he was so worried?
Re: Prologue: “Amidst a Crimson Sea” • b ─Blooming Prairie • b─
...
Is that it?
Pretty much.
Re: Prologue: “Amidst a Crimson Sea” • b ─Blooming Prairie • b─
What are your thoughts on the flowers? [Since they show up a lot.]
Re: Prologue: “Amidst a Crimson Sea” • b ─Blooming Prairie • b─
[They look out over the field of flowers.]
I guess... there's something nostalgic about them.
Re: Prologue: “Amidst a Crimson Sea” • b ─Blooming Prairie • b─
[Not said unkindly.]
Re: Prologue: “Amidst a Crimson Sea” • b ─Blooming Prairie • b─
Sometimes they can be a real simpleton though.
[Another metal twang as Hermes is kicked.]
