Tea's Heart - Session 2
INFO
❍ Characters are aware that Tea's heart is being threatened by CORRUPTION.
❍ If you're in the same run, you can interact!
❍ Unit abilities are MIGHT BE ON — if, and only if, Tea has seen them work or your character has explicitly told her about them — unless otherwise specified.
Nothing Up My Sleeve can't access locations outside of the heart.
❍ Canon abilities MIGHT BE ON —if, and only if, Tea explicitly knows that they're a thing — unless otherwise specified.
❍ Characters have whatever was on their person at the time, including their cell phone!
❍ Over the course of the heart, characters are very likely to be afflicted with STATUS EFFECTS. This will be OOCly determined by dice roll. You can have more than one status effect at a time, but multiples of the same don't stack.
The top levels that require a roll will have a note.
Each time you move to a different top level thereafter, you can roll 1d10 to see whether the effect lingers (1-6) or fades (7-10).
❍ Injury and death are possible.

Re: DESCENSION
[going to go check on injured loved one though and wishing he had his coat to use to staunch the wound]
Re: DESCENSION
They die like that, staring up at you.
And you find yourself back in the hallway, the vines crumbling away once more.
Re: DESCENSION
Gotta keep going.
[more hallway time!]
Re: DESCENSION
Inside is a crystal statue of Miya's dragon form in a defensive curl, teeth bared and ready to strike. Blood red vines tangle around it.
Re: DESCENSION
[hesitantly touching it]
Re: DESCENSION
When the guards finally drop food through the hatch in the ceiling, you can see that there's not going to be enough. There never is. You stand, ready to take your share first as usual … but another prisoner stands as well, stepping between you and the food. Your food. They're going to try to take it, they're going to try to keep it from you, and it would be laughable if you weren't so fucking hungry.
You should show them. You have to show them.
Put them in their place.
Re: DESCENSION
but also on some level he feels that this is a test like the other times
so... he's going to make sure the food is his but maybe like the last time in the enclosure he can just knock this prisoner out
time to try]
Re: DESCENSION
But you do manage to subdue them without killing them, while the rest of the prisoners huddle against the wall in fear. They look at you with revulsion, with respect borne only of fear.
And then you're back, once again, in the hallway, with a vine that crumbles away.
Re: DESCENSION
Tea, I don't know if you can hear me by my being here, but if you can... I want you to know how sorry I am, that all these things happened to you. I wish I could really undo it and I wish I was better at dealing with them as I see them. And I can tell how much these memories must bother you but I want you to know that you handled it the only ways you could at the time. There's no shame in surviving. There's nothing wrong with fighting to stay alive, and it makes sense to go into a state of instinct when people treat you in such awful ways. And I'm not gonna give up. I'm going to do everything I can here to help you.
[and with that further down the hall we go]
Re: DESCENSION
Pain.
Blood.
And the muffled screams … desperation, terror, anger, despair, agony — and the roar of many hundreds of voices, rising and falling, sometimes in approval, sometimes in disappointment …
Until it all goes silent.
Do you go forward?
Re: DESCENSION
It just keeps getting worse. Dammit.
[forward]
Re: DESCENSION
Your opponent stands across from you, calm and steady; it might have seemed relaxed, if it wasn't for the cold, brutal focus in those alien blue eyes. It's been at this for a while if the blood spattered across its feathers, horns, and claws is any indication.
You have no phone.
This is not a game. There are no second chances.
You do not remember Imeeji.
Re: DESCENSION
why is he here what is all this
letting out a deep sigh, he has to assume this is a bizarre cage fight, so he takes a combat stance
he doesn't understand fighting a being like this, but he remembers volunteering for fights he was almost sure to lose back home
he remembers emptiness inside he's so empty without imeeji why shouldn't he let himself die
but even if he lets go the show must continue huh]
Re: DESCENSION
The creature assesses you cooly ... until, with shocking speed and grace for something so large, it lunges. It'll be a quick kill if it lands, claws in the chest and teeth in the throat,
Roll 1D20. 20+ to survive.
Re: DESCENSION
good night sweet prince :(]
