Tea's Heart - Session 2
INFO
❍ Characters are aware that Tea's heart is being threatened by CORRUPTION.
❍ If you're in the same run, you can interact!
❍ Unit abilities are MIGHT BE ON — if, and only if, Tea has seen them work or your character has explicitly told her about them — unless otherwise specified.
Nothing Up My Sleeve can't access locations outside of the heart.
❍ Canon abilities MIGHT BE ON —if, and only if, Tea explicitly knows that they're a thing — unless otherwise specified.
❍ Characters have whatever was on their person at the time, including their cell phone!
❍ Over the course of the heart, characters are very likely to be afflicted with STATUS EFFECTS. This will be OOCly determined by dice roll. You can have more than one status effect at a time, but multiples of the same don't stack.
The top levels that require a roll will have a note.
Each time you move to a different top level thereafter, you can roll 1d10 to see whether the effect lingers (1-6) or fades (7-10).
❍ Injury and death are possible.

Re: DESCENSION
The next time she glances towards the crowd, it's much more deliberate. Exaggerated, almost? The set of her half-furled wings may seem, to someone who actively has a pair of his own, more relaxed. Just a little. Just barely.
Or maybe that's wishful thinking.
Another step.
Re: DESCENSION
for now holding still and holding the food out;;;; as, a show of ;;;; trust;;;;; pls no eat bird ]
If we work together, we can stop this from happening. You've been here for a while, so you must have figured out if we fight each other, they win.
Re: DESCENSION
Something more swish than lash with the next sweep of the tail, the deadly spikes angled so that even if they were swung towards him, they'd bap bluntly rather than stab and rip. Which, getting hit by that absolutely could still hurt like a motherfucker.
But it seems like maybe, just maybe, the intent isn't there anymore.
The dragon blinks at him, slow, like a cat.
So on a scale of 1-10 how absolutely alarming is it when she suddenly pounces for him? Wings fully unfurled now, all 50 glorious feet of them a shield between them and the howling audience, and with 0 intention letting any of her many many kilograms crush him.
Roll 1d20 if you want to dodge. 20 to succeed.
Re: DESCENSION
thank GOD she's not actually trying to kill him ]
Re: DESCENSION
Vvvvvvvvvvery very very gently puts a paw on his chest. super gently.
Leans her head in real close, and murmurs, "Hello. We're going to play pretend now."
Re: DESCENSION
Do you want me to scream and thrash like I'm being murdered.
Re: DESCENSION
"No. Scream if you want, but if you move you might actually be murdered. Accidentally."
:)
Picks him up.
With her mouth.
Re: DESCENSION
[ GOES LIMP LIKE A DEAD PERSON ]
Re: DESCENSION
She carries him right on over to the door on her side of the arena. While the crowd was apparently appeased by her display, the alien guards vary between confused, irritated, and jeering. "Where do you think you're taking that, Champion?"
She snarls in answer, and. Oh, oh there's that predatory killing intent. It's back! Or it was, until the guard backs off and lets her pass, stalking into her cell.
It's a cold, windowless place, the cell, with a solid metal door that slams shut behind them and too-bright flourescent lighting. On the floor is one lone, ragged blanket. She drops him (gently) on that and backs off, sitting herself down outside of his immediate lunging distance.
A small hatch, just barely big enough for a human to squeeze through, can be seen in the center of the ceiling.
Re: DESCENSION
That looks to me like the start of an escape plan. I'm going to send some feathers out to check it out.
[ DECLARING HIS INTENTIONS BEFOREHAND SO HE DOESN'T STARTLE HER SEEMS WISE IS ALL ]
Re: DESCENSION
Eyes his feathers.
Ruffles her wings in a shrug and sets about trying to delicately pry open the jar of honey.
"Keep them away from me, and you're fine."
The hatch is Pretty Damn High, which would be more of a problem if he wasn't a bird. It's easy enough to open, even, and the space beyond seems to be some kind of ventilation duct ...
Re: DESCENSION
[ UP INTO THE HATCH. sends his wings AHEAD of him so he'll fit into it. ]
If I find a way out this way, I'll circle back around and let you out, okay? Whatever they're doing here definitely has to be stopped.
Re: DESCENSION
"They won't let their Champion go so easily, little bird. But I do appreciate your spirit."
Re: DESCENSION
[ WIGGLES THRU THE HATCH. INTO THE VENTS ]
Re: DESCENSION
His memories of Imeeji come flooding back at the same time as the hatch slams shut behind him. There's only one way left to go now: forward.
Re: DESCENSION
keeps going forward i GUESS ]
