POST-ROUND 2 MINGLE
[ Once the decisions have been made, everyone is ushered—though those gentle tugs—out their respective mud rooms into the courtyard. An impossibly tall and incredibly dense garden hedge divides one half of the courtyard away—moreover, it increasingly gets taller when climbed, preventing its residents from escaping their slice of the courtyard. From beyond, idols can hear the distant sounds of something rumbling—perhaps it's the ground shaking. . .
The roster is visible on a large screen, though as time progresses, certain names are blacked out. . . ]
[ Mouths and Hands will be able to transform into monsters at-will, though Hands are much more diminutive and Mouths have supernatural abilities at their disposal. Moreover, unit abilities are on. ]

[She pulls a face.
[Draws a little closer to Ren. If only she could just - fold them both away together, somehow. If only there was another way.]
Disgusting terminology, isn't it?
I was one, too, for all the good it did any of us.

[She tenses for a moment at the closeness. Her instincts are screaming at her, but she wonders if it would be worth it when she won't even get a point.]

[And obvious who it must be, if she fought Hurricane.
[It seems a reckless thing to say, to someone she has to think of as an adversary. (They won't let you stay together, even Ren herself would acknowledge that: the unit has to come first, unless--)
[She feels Ren tense. She wonders what she's thinking. Mayhap the same things she is, and that wouldn't be so very bad. Keeping one another close, closer even than she is to her own twin. One soul, inseparable and indivisible, always. Something like that would be worth fighting for. Worth dying for, if it came to it. As long as they were together, would it really matter whose flesh wrapped about whose?
[That's why she leans closer, so close she can feel the heat bleeding from Ren's skin.
[Why she nips gently at the other girl's neck.
[She has to know it, that hunger. She has to feel it too.]

I should kill him, you know? I've already killed Baritone's heart.
[Her hand rests on her knife, though she doesn't move to injure Alisaie with it.]
If you're going to bite me, you should know it won't be satisfying. My teeth are also much bigger than yours.

I thought you liked me.
[Alisaie draws away. Hopes she doesn't look as hurt as she feels. What are you saying, demands the part of her that's just watching all this happen. You don't want this, you've never wanted this, why are you doing this-- she feels it, but distantly, it's alien as numbed pain.]
Don't you understand? I thought you felt it, too.
[That need. That yearning. Keep her close, keep her safe: or let her cherish you. Together, one way or another.
[Any which way at all.]
