[ Once the decisions have been made, everyone is ushered—though those gentle tugs—out their respective mud rooms into the courtyard. An impossibly tall and incredibly dense garden hedge divides one half of the courtyard away—moreover, it increasingly gets taller when climbed, preventing its residents from escaping their slice of the courtyard. From beyond, idols can hear the distant sounds of something rumbling—perhaps it's the ground shaking. . .

The roster is visible on a large screen, though as time progresses, certain names are blacked out. . . ]

[ Mouths and Hands will be able to transform into monsters at-will, though Hands are much more diminutive and Mouths have supernatural abilities at their disposal. Moreover, unit abilities are on. ]

of course, he won both of the fights that he was in - he hunted down and killed and ate the Heart of the unit he had attacked, tried to bring his catch back to his family to no avail because they had died. he did all of that, and yet-- he still couldn't protect them.

while covered in blood, he remains ... human-shaped. for now, at least. ]

[ Hey, who's dead, he's fine. Obviously. Just, you know, a big ole wolf-monster-thing now, and way less concerned about casualties.

Except for you. He'd really like you not to die. So he's going to plant himself beside you. And, if you don't shove him away, he's going to nuzzle at your shoulder.

[ he doesn't say anything, letting himself be nuzzled into. he brings up a hand, idly scratching him behind his ears. he doesn't seem to be concerned that this is not a regular dog. ]

[ Has gotten a surely weird number of pets at this mingle, but he's entirely used to it now and leans into that. Not a dog, but there's an errant thump from an almost-wag anyway.

Maybe it's better for everyone that he can't talk in this form because he'd probably be complimentary out loud. ]

[ that's okay. he's just going to sit down and lean against lupine as well. he doesn't have much of an affection filter, right now, so he is just going to cuddle this dog in public. ]

[ Meanwhile, being a wolf (or wolf-creature) seems to disarm his own internal reaction to unmotivated lingering physical contact, and between that and feelings of Unit Protecc being the only feelings he can easily access right now, Lupine is completely on board for distressed Tenn cuddles.

Will this be an embarrassing memory for one or both of them later, given that they are both kind of Too Tsun For This? Only time will tell. ]

[ if he's going to find it embarrassing, he clearly isn't doing so in the moment. it's very grounding to wrap his arms around his neck, to bury his face in his fur and close his eyes and leave the moment.

...ah, no, that's the opposite of grounding, isn't it...?

[ Sometimes you just dissociate from all the murder and it's fine. ]

[Thankfully he was revived for the time being, so Eichi will go to see Tenn.]

My Tenn... I'm so proud of you.

[ immediately he clings to him, face burried into eichi's chest, fingers digging in maybe too hard. ]

[Eichi clings to Tenn as well, wrapping him in his arms and squeezing.]

You have not lost me. And you did so well.

In fact, it was not something available to you. I am sure that if it was, you would have done so. As it is... what you did do will probably secure my health for after the game.

[ he's silent, for a moment - struggling to find a response to that. ]

[ so, he doesn't respond to it. ]

[No need to hesitate. Tenn doesn't need to respond directly to his sentiment, he just needs to know Eichi loves him.]
