Of course. Its the attitude one SHOULD have. Serving the Emperor is to better serve the empire and letting personal ambitions get in the way is just troublesome.

Especially when one's position is guard. That means being great at combat and being willing to put your life on the line and that level of ambition means she doesn't have the right mindset.
