[ The bar is unit-colored with light unit paraphernalia, although it's all just for show. Fortunately, comfort isn't part of the unit aesthetic this time—all seats are cushioned, whether the booth seats or the bar stools, comfy and lush. Idols can sit anywhere they like, it seems.

There's alcohol available, but everything else is locked behind the wall-cabinet. . . the recipe book is also available to peruse at one's leisure.

Ah—the door opens, and a fuzzy sort of shade steps in. It looks like idols will be serving the Damned, today. . . ? ]

Who puts together tea and ice cream, though?

There are different kinds of ice cream infused with tea.

. . . Though I have only had green tea ice cream, truthfully. I haven't tried the rest. Perhaps... it is an unexpectedly pleasant combination?

Maybe. But espresso with ice cream's a thing--I dunno if tea is. Usually the flavor's too gentle for all the sugary sweetness.

...But from the recipe book, looks like a milk tea would work too, if you think that's better.

I am not married to the idea of tea. After all, it is not for me. We can go with a coffee. I do not drink much, but I have enjoyed some of the flavors in the past. So we might as well move forward with your idea.

Yeah... You might have a point, though. Milky tea might should do a better job at getting this guy to relax. That might be the way to go.

Are you sure...? He may be satisfied with either or. Perhaps there is more than one right answer.

Maybe... But seems like all you guys're more tea people than coffee people, so maybe this guy is, too. If he don't like it, we can make another one, I guess.

...Either way, we'd need an "empathy bond"...? What's that?

It seems we need to tie our fingers together by some thread and... share what we feel? If we go with milk tea, then that means... we need to, at least twice, share feelings of comfort, confidence, or longing...

Is that something you are able to muster on your own? Or perhaps, we could try talking about a memory that provides us with such, or about someone important to us? Even an object, or pet.

Whichever recipe we use, I think it would make sense to be one that we can add cocoa to, since it's associated with comfort, here.

Sounds like they want something milky. Like a latte, or...I guess add milk to a mocha, to have chocolate in it.

I suppose chocolate would, generally, mix better with a coffee-based beverage...

These milky teas, though—

I think I've had this sort of thing at the café in the park, though I usually get the matcha or red bean flavors...

I admit that I am more familiar with various teas rather than coffee-based drinks. I suppose after doing tea ceremony for so long, I simply prefer the delicate scents and flavors.

I have not ever had a tea with chocolate in it before... it probably isn't unheard of, but- I do think if we are to go the chocolate route, we ought to add it to some coffee.

But coffee is also good, if you got good coffee.

I think it would be nice to taste coffee made by someone who is proficient in it! I cannot say that I have that experience myself.

I mean, you're right, the method you make it makes a big difference. But the quality of the ingredients does as well. If you got quality beans and a quality roast and a fresh grind, that's gonna taste way different than some crappy instant junk that's a few years old. And then what you put in it's gonna make a big difference, too, if you want milk, or cream, or sugar, or some people do flavored syrups and stuff...

So it really is quite similar to tea then . . . the amount of work and quality that it takes to make a perfect cup cannot be underestimated.

Yeah. Temperature and stuff like that, it's all important! I ain't a pro or nothing, but I can brew you up a cup sometime, if you're interested.

I would love it, I am sure! And in return, I will see if I can find a tea that you would enjoy.

Tea is definitely superior.

At the very least, I can say that I am well taught in tea-making to where I think I can make it a valid competitor against the others!

That's a very delicate art for a young woman to know; I am impressed.

Perhaps you should be the one overseeing us, if we are indeed to prepare a tea for this guest?

Is it so strange for a woman to do so? It is quite common for the noblewomen in my world.

Ah—perhaps your homeland is more like those of most others I have encountered, here. It is still faintly strange to me, but my now I am well-accustomed to it.

In my own province, while such arts are taught to all noble youths—and indeed a woman's deft hand is finely valued—in the end it is still men who are pressured by their parents into more long-term study.
