Yeah, it was...

And you know yourself it's only temporary, CB-kun. A 'peaceful resolution is fine for the short term CB-kun, but it's the kind of thing the wrong person could get a nasty grudge about. It would be just as dangerous to throw it around like that and paint a target on my back in future.

I'm not gonna bug you about it, it's your choice. It's not like we can just buy powers in the middle of these things, anyway.

This person shot me in the head, sliced through my chest, cut off my ear, arm and head, and that was them trying to go easy on me. To 'make it quick', if I'd just laid down and died for them.

I don't want to see what them going hard on me looks like, and draw their ire outside this game. Which is was would definitely happen. Anyone can be a target to someone desperate, but a target with a grudge is going to end with a lot more pieces cut off.

Oh, no, just because they say that's being merciful doesn't mean they're being merciful, no arguments here. That's just what they thought the appropriate level of violence was for 'mercy', so it's not really a person whose attention I want in any way.

...And I didn't see because of the, uh, head thing... But my ear was still on the floor and I did hear them screaming 'why' a lot.

I'm for real back together. Henshin isn't just armour, it's a whole different body. So when I take it off, nothing carries over.

I'm totally fine! I got sent to some weird temple--I think it was meant for Taisho? It's full of some weird contract magic they can do. . .the tapestries are in the backseat if you wanna read them.

But I stayed put until Duality ran into me. Not literally, of course.

I started out in the area we drove through before we got here. I've not met anyone else besides C, and I've been through several areas, though.

The car I put together at a scrap yard. I collected some of the equipment there too.
