[ The bar is unit-colored with light unit paraphernalia, although it's all just for show. Fortunately, comfort isn't part of the unit aesthetic this time—all seats are cushioned, whether the booth seats or the bar stools, comfy and lush. Idols can sit anywhere they like, it seems.

There's alcohol available, but everything else is locked behind the wall-cabinet. . . the recipe book is also available to peruse at one's leisure.

I imagine it has to be a truth that isn't as obvious. Perhaps you were lying to yourself or it goes against ones character. Or even if it is a moral dubious question as to give rise to accusations and questions.

[Shock/ Surprise with a mix of conflict is a hard one for him. Not because he doesn't want to, but more he's trying to remember a time.]

I'm not sure if I have told you the specifics of my star, but to summarize a great calamity occurred and all the souls of the star were sundered broken into fourteen parts. Each individual part was reborn again, a fractured, broken thing.

For our great work, 'twas my duty to find shards of our colleagues. To bring them back and raise them up to their status. But in my search I would more often than not find one of my dearest friends. At first I was naive enough to tell them of our goals and our plans, and, oh, how we fought and quarreled and even at times I laid them low. And each time I was struck by how much they could not remember. How they could not care.

I never told Dignity or Cosmo of such quarrels, and I assume they thought my mood was simply sour. But I wonder if I had, if it would have helped.

[ he doesn't ask because he, himself, doesn't like to share, so it wouldn't exactly be fair. ] I'm guessing you're keeping the identity of such person a secret for a reason... [ hm. ] Maybe. I think I have mentioned my creator a couple of times here and there. She's a young girl made in the image of Dr. Forester's late sister, Amelia. She worked on the island too, doing things similar to him... but she eventually fell ill. I had originally thought he neglected her, leaving her to wither away and going mad following her inevitable death. Much to my surprise I later found out that he tried everything in his power to help her, and his grief is what drove him to make 'Error'. I'm uncertain how to feel about that. Of course I still hate him, because of how we've both been treated, but a part of me wants to pity him... since he was very clearly effected by what happened.

Ah, so you are surprised he went mad with grief? Do you believe you understand him better now even if you do not agree with it?

I thought he was just an asshole. [ but now he's an asshole with a sob story and he doesn't know how to feel about that. ] I... don't know. Maybe? I don't think that gives him the right to be such a piece of shit, but... I can't exactly say I'm the shining beacon of good decisions when it comes to emotions running high.

It does not. However, conflict without understanding is simply bloodletting. While it seem a paltry token to understand, it give the victor the opportunity to learn, to reflect to prevent what caused the friction from rising again.

I wouldn't be conflicted if I didn't understand to some degree. He just needs to open his own damn eyes.

Then that is the lesson to learn. How can you cultivate an environment of understanding so he would be able to see and be willing to hear different opinions?

I can't go near him without getting shot. It's a lost cause. Error is the only one that could potentially change his tune and he'd rather beat her than listen to her.

He is a lost cause. That I do not disagree. But how do you prevent another like him from rising?

Having a way to cope with the loss? Death is mostly inevitable.

Precisely. What was he missing that would have helped him cope with such a hole in his heart? Did he have no others on which he could turn to?

I don't think so. I come from an isolated island riddled a bunch of morally questionable workaholics.

It is also monumentally difficult to have one person change an entire nation with lasting effect. Usually when that person is gone it crumples and dies with them.

I'm not interested in seeing how the dominos fall after everything is said and done. It's part of the reason I want to leave my world behind and travel. [ his only real tie is error, besides. ]

Or maybe you just have a traveler's spirit. You seem to make a large number of friends off unit.

That might also be true. Exploring is just as exciting as learning. And the worlds I can travel to after this is basically limitless. [ his tail starts wagging. ]
