[ The bar is unit-colored with light unit paraphernalia, although it's all just for show. Fortunately, comfort isn't part of the unit aesthetic this time—all seats are cushioned, whether the booth seats or the bar stools, comfy and lush. Idols can sit anywhere they like, it seems.

There's alcohol available, but everything else is locked behind the wall-cabinet. . . the recipe book is also available to peruse at one's leisure.

Ah—the door opens, and a fuzzy sort of shade steps in. It looks like idols will be serving the Damned, today. . . ? ]

Mmm well... it's best to start off by saying that I'm a spy, and as far as I knew, I was hired to support the little brother of the man who contracted me.

My only order was to show unwavering faith to him above all others. I thought I was there to provide encouragement, but after nearly a year of putting my life on the line for this guy, my employer told me that I was there to emotionally break the person I was ordered to care for.

The day before they'd confront each other, he asked for proof he could use to shove in his little brother's face. So I dragged him to a winter fair, where he bought a pair of earrings and gave me one.

I turned around and gave it to my employer, as ordered.

...that took a turn. [ and somehow hearing that she's a spy isn't all that surprising. she's always calm, cool, and collected, at least as far as he's seen, and it's always been really impressive. ]

Why did he want to break him?

To get his little brother to kill him, because he was unable to do so himself.

He's our world's equivalent to God, so he could only be relieved of the mortal coil by his polar opposite, the Devil, who was already dead, or someone genetically identical to him. In this case, his little brother, who was actually his clone.

Oh, wow. [ it's all he says as he lets it soak in. ] So everything hinged on this plan of his. Were you successful in breaking him and beginning this chain of events?

Oh, not at all. My mark had figured me out from the beginning. Those who have never had anything good of their own to begin with tend to distrust something like that appearing out of the blue.

That Man is still very much alive and will live as long as he has to, in order to clean up the terrible mess he made with his selfishness. I hate him.

[ a slow nod. ] ...it is hard to assume that not everybody's out to get you in the case. [ it might be why he still has reservations about the people being kind to him. he wants to fully enjoy it, but something's always got to happen to make him wonder why he bothered in the first place. ]

Do you like this little brother?

The short answer is yes, I do. But it's more complicated than that, so perhaps we'll leave it for the dorm, or a separate ingredient.

[ oh, right, this is all for a game. he had almost forgotten, since the scenery isn't all that different from baritones bar filled dorm. less nice though. ] We can save it for the dorm. No need to overshare.

I don't mind sharing, as long as it serves a purpose. I wouldn't like to waste it if a truth is needed later.

[ he can't help but smile. ] Alright, that's fair. I... I think I can manage the affection and tenderness.

[ he shares a memory of when he was just a teeny tiny demon horse. he's still trying to figure out how all his limbs work, but his creator, error, is there to try to help. they head into the jungle in search of something for him to eat and while he's preoccupied nomming insects and other small ( and easy ) targets error is in the background murdering something much larger. it's impossible to tell what the creature is, but it's definitely abnormal and gives off the vibe of being wrong. the way she moves and fights is definitely a testament to not being human, and despite her small size she's able to fell the creature with relative ease. ]

[ error returns to pentium and scoops him up, hand feeding him chunks of meat from the creatures as she explains the finer points of murder to him. ]

Ahh... is that her?

Mm! [ this is what she looks like. ] That is my creator, Error.

She seems lovely. She's very caring towards you.

She did what she could for me and I'm exceedingly appreciative. It's the reason I want to liberate her from her brother. I think she deserves better.

If you need help coming up with a plan to do that, I'd be happy to assist.

I... think I might need some help. She is caring to me, yes, but... I can't say I'm her priority. I do believe he is, in spite of everything. I'm hoping if she sees how much more to life there is she could be convinced.

...I don't understand what it is with you and Tsukkun and those who are a priority... but that is an aside.

In this case, who is hers? Her brother, because she doesn't know better?

[ tilts his head. ] I just mean that if given the choice to stay ( with him ) or to go ( with me ) she's not going to choose the latter. Even if someone says they're not biased in making decisions like that they absolutely are.

But, yes, because she was programmed that way.

It isn't really a choice when she didn't realize she has a choice to begin with.

You'll have to deprogram her before taking him out, but at least then, she might be willing to assist you.
