It certainly is! What sort of tragedy is this? What sort of moral does it convey? A story like this has nothing of value at all!!

In this case, the story's just a means of making us suffer. We'll have to inflict all kinds of unkind feelings and memories to fill it all out.

But as for other, similar stories... that isn't up to me to say.

Ahaha! Why unkind feelings and memories? Why not simply give them the tonal dissonance—a ridiculous memory for a ridiculous story, that sounds fine to me—!
