What are you creating? Who can say. Only you - and only you'll know if - and when, it's good enough. The stories before you are not yours right now, but you'll make them yours soon enough.

And you will survive.

STORY

[ The townsfolk outside tell a story - they ask for salvation, to be protected from the coming storm. Only you and your compatriots can save them. An item of offense is what they need, and the story they tell reflects the refuge they seek - you need only fill in that which is left unspoken. ]

There once was a woman who sought revenge above all else. Someone had stolen her {memory/event1} and her {memory/event2}...

In time, the woman got her revenge by sealing her target, along with her own {emotion1} in her weapon. The woman was safe, and over time she began to feel {emotion2}.

But unwilling to let her enemy go, she held onto the accursed reminder. She would never forget {memory/event4}.

Not until the day she died, filled with {emotion3}.

You may also share additional memories/events or emotions independent of the story to bolster your object.

We could just make the story random. Buy a memory, see what the big emotion is.

Yeah, I'm just not keen on getting our asses kicked if they don't give us something that matches the right mood...

But it's pretty easy to fill in. Based on the story, it should be two memories of precious things, then a positive emotion, then a negative emotion...

Then a memory of something bad happening that works as a reason for getting revenge, then another negative emotion.

I'm not sure that matters. This is just our attack. Its the defense that we have to be careful with.

Maybe. If we're worried about counter, then what we'd want to do is choose emotions we think others wouldn't want to share.

...well, it seems to be skewing toward negative ones, so that's what people are going to think of, but which ones, specifically...

I don't know. I get the impression people don't like talking about the things that make them feel sad, or the things they hate, here, apart from the ones that everyone can agree on.

This one, we can choose whatever emotions we want. To defend, we had to share specific things prompted from the story. So, the only way to make a hard counter isn't how good the story is, but how willing people are to share the prompts.

Though I feel like with how traumatized the people are here there's so much material for everyone ta work with even if it's tough........
