In the woods there once lived a witch. She was very content and happy (one, two, three) and had dreams of a prosperous life for her and her sister (one). Her life was perfectly balanced and focused. She had a goal and she worked to meet it (one).

One day, though, everything changed. Someone stole everything from her, her life fell to ruins, (one, two, three) and her dreams were shattered. In anger and desperation (one) she brewed a powerful pair of blades that would take the pain away.

When it was ready, she took it. And for a time, she felt better. She could go back to the things she wanted to do. She could be the person she wanted to be. She could start over fresh, with a new life (one).

And then, like always, it got worse. She felt overwhelming grief and fury (one) And then she gave up. She didn't want to be better anymore. She wanted to make everything worse.
