It doesn't make you afraid of me? I still don't know why it happened, or if it might happen again.

Of course it's terrible that it happened - for those people, and ... um, I know that it isn't something that you really like to hear, but for you, too - ... but even if something like that ended up happening again, isn't that -

... Well, that isn't any reason for any of us to fear or reject you, or anything like that, is it?

I never know what to think when people say they're not afraid of me after seeing that. Most of me is grateful. Some part of me wishes they'd stay away from me so they'd be safe from me.

Even though that's true - even though we're good friends and lovers, that isn't something that changes his nature at all, is it? Even when we're sleeping, or even if I'm sleeping really comfortably next to him, it doesn't change his function at all - no matter how deeply his feelings might run, even when I'm next to him like that, he's always thinking about killing me, you know? It isn't really "wanting to," or "feeling like it," or anything like that, but something else ... in comparison, it's more like the way that a cup holds water, isn't it? And it's -

... Especially because it's me, and because I'm like that - in bed, or asleep, or anything like that - ... it's something that could happen at any time too, right?

But even though all of those things are true, I still go to sleep next to him every night, don't I?

Is there a reason that you could think of, for something like that...?
