The word you're looking for is underdog. An every-man kind of story is boring. It's more accurate, but underdogs are who readers like to root for.

Anything where you enjoy what you do. Love what you do and you'll never work a day in your life. It's like. . .when I make coffee. That doesn't feel like work to me. And seeing how much it warms everyone up. . .well, I think that counts as happiness, right?

For all I know, I'm a barista that does conning on the side as a means of survival. Even if it's just a little happiness, I'll savor it. It's just one spice in a blend of many, after all.

I doubt it'll be anything interesting, it just has to be an event after all--

[CONFUSION. BETRAYAL. HORROR. GUILT. RAGE. WAY TOO MANY EMOTIONS as tldr, P seems to be 'posing' as a pharmaceutical doctor in order to expose big time drug lord in LA, ratting out his comrades (the blond man is apparently a con artist too, the same one I saw in P's first memory) but also accidentally getting them seemingly killed in the process. oops. Also he takes an fbi agent hostage. ]
