So one day, a "press conference" happened. Easy enough. [MORE CONCERN THO]

But, wow. They put you on the spot for that? That just seems like normal law enforcement stuff.

Heroes aren't normal law enforcement! Also I'm pretty sure the incident being mentioned was a giant super-beast going on a rampage and killing hundreds of people and unhousing thousands at least.

That's. . .a lot. But it's not your faults though? Like, just because you're a hero doesn't make you a god.

Well, it'd be a hard time convincing people of that when most of society is based around 'rely on heroes'.

It's just a job. The only person you can rely on is. . .yourself. [apparently. a little bitterness there, too, but then, a spike of concern]

I guess, technically I'm a criminal, so my opinion wouldn't matter much either, huh?

It's kinda complicated. Well... I'm retiring anyway, so...

Yes! He was so offended at the idea of me going back to that and getting worked to death by people who don't care about me that I decided to just go home with him after this.
