HEARTFORGE - LiliS (Session 5)

You are in the heart of a massive forge. In front of you are tools, and your objective is clear - to use them to channel the strength of your heart and create.

What are you creating? Who can say. Only you - and only you'll know if - and when, it's good enough. The stories before you are not yours right now, but you'll make them yours soon enough.

And you will survive.

[ The townsfolk outside tell a story - they ask for salvation, to be protected from the coming storm. Only you and your compatriots can save them. An item of offense is what they need, and the story they tell reflects the refuge they seek - you need only fill in that which is left unspoken. ]

Think about something {emotion1}. That's about the only thing we have, you know. Most stories end in disaster, but mine started with {memory/event1}. I guess that gives me a unique outlook on life?

Think about something {emotion2}. It's dark and scary, yes, but sometimes you have to think about the dark and scary things. It's the only way to avoid {memory/event2}.

Think about something {emotion3}. Why? Because it'll protect you. Protect you from what? Nothing, if you're careful.

Stop thinking. Fall apart. Decompose. In the end, {memory/event3} is all that's between you and eternity. So stop thinking and laugh! You'd better make it count.

You may also share additional memories/events or emotions independent of the story to bolster your object.

What will we learn of each other today?

[ A — very amused noise. Which is mostly reflective of how he feels internally, too, but. Well. Not his first rodeo today. ] [ It's possible he relaxed a hair to see Eichi, though, because... well. Eichi's an Imeeji oldbie, and it's so much less likely that anything he shares for key words with him is going to be an ugly shock. ]

Guess we'll find out.

[ Half his attention already on the story, though; poring over it... ]

[He is just in a happy kind of mood, comfortable.]

Fufufu, indeed! So, what are your thoughts as for what to fill these blanks in with? Something that is "the only thing we have". And a unique way to begin life.

[ Item of offense, so. Another weapon. Three emotions, two of which seem like they can be positive, three memories-or-events...

Thinking about dark-and-scary things is the only way to avoid... overconfidence, maybe? Recklessness?

The last one's giving him the most nose-wrinkle. Something's all that's between you and eternity, so... laugh? Make it count? Ugh. ]

[ ...Well, that's not bad to feel. Might relax him a little more in turn. It's possible he spent a lot of the last game trying to project more confidence than he actually felt. For the kids' sake. You know? ] [ Lupine hums. ]

It's a total cliche, but hope? The other thing, I was thinking — 'most stories end in disaster, but mine started that way'?

Yeah!! Yeah! It should definitely be something hopeful for the first blank!!

The only thing between us and eternity is...?

Mmmmm... maybe... our life? Maybe everything after is"eternity". But the time we have now-- that's what's important, right? So we have to Han fun and cherish it!!

Our lives... [ Rubs the back of his neck. ] ...The — people we meet?

Mmmmh, it's simple, but things do not need to be overcomplicated. Hope is a strong foundation.

[Eichi just has an easy confidence... Maybe a little misplaced. But this does not feel like the stakes are going to kill them in any awful way right now, so he's just chill.]

What memory... Mmmhhh... Hope is a hard thing to come by, and yet. Somehow I'm clinging to it.

It doesn't have to be hard, does it? After all... hope can be a lot of different things for different people in different moments. Right? So...

Mm. I remember a time like that.

[ Cutest kid in the world ~~and he tensed a tiny bit to hear her voice because Newest of Newbies, but at least he's already dumped that memory on her so it can't get much worse~~. Lupine grins for her, then shifts his attention back to Eichi. ]

We just started — using the forge, and the memory-sharing kind of. Happened.

[ Which he's aware isn't always going to be your favorite. You opted to tell him about a couple of things during bar(Tender) instead. ]

—But I think the more we, uh, share, the stronger the thing we're making.

Maybe it's our memories themselves!! All the memorable experiences we care so much for...

A memory of memories seems like it might be a little hard to share.

I like the thought, though.

But if it's a matter of sharing "memories" then it should be really easy though, right? Then we could share ANYTHING!
