[ she nods, almost businesslike. two of the children are Good Children. ]
Do you think it is true, that the hosts will see to it that groups are separated to encourage fighting? I was with John Doe earlier, and he was attacked out of nowhere by knife-wielding dolls. He said he believed that was the reason.
I saw that. I think that the hosts will encourage us to fight whether we're together, or alone. They like whatever will make it more exciting. Heart Soldier Senshi has a power that means we gain more power the more friends we have around us, so the producers wouldn't have a reason to separate me from my friends if they want to see a good fight from my unit.
[Surges forward, from the way Todoroki fought in that memory he likes to go for big showy opening moves that incapacitate his opponent, and on this kind of turf, Mori needs to strike decisively, aiming for his gut.
The punch is a success, 6 + 2 for heart weapon + 2 for buddy boost, but, hilariously, his -4 modifier on heart weapon for actually liking Todoroki cancels that out. Just 6 damage!]
[he goes to attempt dodging the attack! launching himself to the side, rolling 3 + 4 + 5, which has Mori missing him by a mere inch.
he rolls into a crouch, while his personal assistant comes at Mori from the other direction, crashing into him at high speed! rolled a 3 + 5 for success, and + 5 for damage, provided Mori doesn't avoid it. it's surprisingly heavy for a plush robot, and through the impact you can also feel how incredibly cold its surface is??]
[Mori braces himself for the assistant, with a successful defence to lower that damage down to 1, he grabs onto the robot and launches it right back at Todoroki's head like they're playing volleyball.
1 + 3 is a success, damage for 5 + 2 + whatever damage a personal assistant would have.]
[you'll be able to feel the cold through your gloves.
his eyes widen for a second as he raises his arms to protect his head, and while he doesn't have Power Down ability to halt the personal assistant, it does slow down at his command enough that the impact isn't as intense. rolled 1 + 3 for success and + 5. damage is 1.
it bounces to the ground the beside him with a weird meow-y bleeping noise. (it takes 1 damage as well)]
[While Todoroki had raised to defend, Mori had immediately launched himself forward, using the assistant as a cover for his second punch, an uppercut to the jaw from below!
It's a success, 4 + 2 + 2 - 4 = just plain 4 damage.
[doesn't quite have time to dodge that punch, though he instinctively angles his head along it to minimize damage, so it grazes his jaw. it's probably going to give him a bruise, but it barely hurt and he's momentarily confused by that (heart weapons!! 1 damage).
he immediately launches a punch back at Mori, aiming for his jaw from the side, rolling 1 + 3 for success and + 5 for damage]
[Mori is hit! He takes it with a grunt, and as his face is punched to the side he swings his leg up with the momentum to strike Todoroki in the ribs for 8 damage. His hits come a little harder when they aren't protected by his ~feelings~]
[It was a kick not a punch! A kick which Mori follows up on by surging forwards as Todoroki is gasping, and trying to grapple him. If he can, he wants to throw him, but he'll try to do it towards some of the scrap machines he can use.
[That's not the machine attack he was setting up for Todoroki so it's not where his attention was, and he is tripped successfully! Mori crashes to the ground with a grunt, that hurts, and he kicks out at Todoroki's leg petulantly for 2 damage as he scrambles to get back up.]
[just. gonna take that damage tbh, grabbing at one of the metal plates behind him to use as a shield, and launch himself at Mori with it to keep him from getting up by bodily pushing him back down to the ground with the shield between them

Well, I think that's enough of that, we're all on the same page it seems! So let's agree no fighting, good luck avoiding trouble Amaranth-san.

I agree. We have no intention of fighting anyone, if we can help it.

[Nodding to her, putting C down and pointing at Todoroki]
Todoroki-kun! I'm suddenly but inevitably betraying our friendship!

I wouldn't have been able to see that coming. But... I've been wanting to fight you again.
[is he even acting though]
