[she'd feel more guilty if there'd been fewer beheadings last round; instead it's more 'same feel'. summons up a gallows smile for this one though]

[she pauses, looking him over for wounds]

I... I was stabbed, but... nothing else. I mean to me, th- that is. I... g- god, I ... [ just going to drop to his knees and start sobbing. ]

I killed King. I- I stabbed him and I don't know why.

[rather than just look awkwardly at him she's startled by the statement]

--Huh? King? What, you catch him after he was done with Intensity?

I- I don't know? M- Maybe. I just... I don't know what's wrong with me. My head is all messed up and h- how could I do something like that?

[ stares at his hands. ]

[Attempts to pat him on the shoulder? Very slow, very telegraphed]

Hey--hey. He must've done something pretty bad for you go for it. That doesn't seem like something you'd do. ...Or even could do, no offense.

[ he flinches, but doesn't make any attempts to actually move away. ]

[ scrambles backwards and falls on his ass because what is coordination. still tries to put some space in between himself and king, since HE SHOULD NOT BE WANTING TO COME THIS CLOSE TO HIM. not after what he did. no. god no. ]

I'm sorry! I'm so sorry King! [ cue tears. ] I don't know what came over me!

[ Uh

That's not the correct creation at all. He crouches down next to Yugi without hesitating, concern plain on his face. ]

Sorry for—what? What are you talking about?

In the sand, I... you...

[ going to sputter a bunch of nonsense for half a minute before he's able to make a coherent thought. and coherent is still kind of a stretch. ]

I stabbed you. K- Killed you.

The sand...?

[ ???????????!?!?!?!?!?!? His tone is slipping into truly alarmed now. ]

Yugi, I haven't seen any sand. I was in a room with hundreds of bridges the entire time. This is the first I've even seen you!

In the sand. I went there with Anubis. W- We bumped into Nine and then... and then, jeez, [ shakes his head. ] he tried to make us fight.

[ stares at his hand, because he can't catch knives. ] He said a bunch of stuff and- and I don't remember much of it. My head's all messed up. I can barely think straight.

[ realizes he's rambling so tries to refocus. ]

And then you were there. I know what I did. I know what I saw. W- With the knife and the sword and... [ grabs at his face and loses himself to all the crying. ] King I'm sorry! I'm no partner.

[ gawd he's too fucked up to deal with this as well as he needs to right now

He reaches out to firmly take Yugi's face in both of his hands. ]

Partner, listen to me. Do you trust me?

[ he tries to avoid making eye contact, which is pretty hard given king's hold on his face. ]

...of course, but how you could ever trust me again I'll never know.

[ Okay it's definitely time to hug Corona now ]
