You have already come to an agreement of sorts with Loki-san, I'm sure - but in the interest of your and his survival -

[ 'his' being pretty ambiguous, misleading - he really means lavender ]

- I'd like to propose an agreement for our mutual benefit.

[ cocks his head, a little slow ]

Go on.

. . . You're well aware of our powers. It's obvious, too - that with our numbers, it would only be beneficial to agree to work with us. In a game like this, being rest assured that, not only would your injuries would be taken care of, but that there are other bodies to buffer between yourself and the danger - one would have to be a fool not to agree. Moreover, you already have an in with one of us.

[ with a pause ]

But even then, there are two other factors that can't be accounted for. Maybe you can trust him, but you can't trust us - or rather, the person you can trust the least is me. I have no qualms with tearing down anyone in my way, including my own unitmates. You've seen that firsthand.

Therefore, I offer this: to danger that would stand in front of you in this game, I will tear it down. You, I shall protect and keep alive to the best of my ability, regardless of my unitmates' presence. For this game, and this game only, I will move to your will - and if it costs me my own life to make sure you survive, I'll do as much.

...

And in return?

Don't betray us.

[ not-quite smiles ]

Then as you say, I would be a fool not to agree.

[ rolling up his sleeve to offer his arm ]

Then we're in agreement.

[ also he has a lance. ]

[ holds out a hand for the lance ]

A blood oath, then? Writing it all down would take up quite a bit of time. I trust we can hold one another to his word.

[ offering it to him, and then pausing - as if an afterthought: ]

I don't care much what the method is. I just thought you'd like a leash.

[ takes the lance in one hand and Lucifel's wrist in the other, dragging the point down his palm to open a thin line of red ]

This will suffice, this time.

[ lets go and switches the lance to slice his own palm in the same manner and then clasps hands with him ]

[ he lets the hold linger, even after the blood has touched and mixed - briefly, his eyes drop to the ground and the tension seems to bleed from his shoulders momentarily, expression that of bitter satisfaction ]

Then it's decided.

[ lets his hand drop as well and tosses the lance back ]

Let's move on.

[ taking it, closing his eyes and taking a breath ]

Yes.

[ he's not going to interrupt but hey
