[ For as long as the game is running, idols will only be able to access the rules on their phones. They may not text/call, nor may they take pictures.

[ The room's stench is the first thing you notice upon waking up: it's an unpleasant mix of incense, smoke, and metal. Although the room is poorly lit, the light from the hanging wall lamps show that the room is quite big . . . and quite crowded.

Not with living people, of course. You find yourselves surrounded by corpses, mutilated beyond recognition. Vaguely humanoid shapes and limbs indicate these used to be humans—probably. . . ?

The metal smell is more easily identifiable as blood, now—though even if you could not make the connection, the floor is sticky with pools and rivers of red, so it's quite easy to tell that these—people?—met their end right here.

Yet, you won't find even a drop of blood on yourself, or even near your body. In fact, the carnage is absent on both your clothes as well as the ground immediately surrounding you, which is just as well because the blood would have otherwise obfuscated the white-chalked summoning circle that surrounds the idols.

You're situated in the center of the room.
Against the north wall is a table, where there are two oil lamps and a number of other things.
Against the east wall is a running fountain pool of sorts—the stench of blood is strongest here.
Against the south wall is a large portrait, though without coming closer, you can't make out who those people in the portrait are.
Against the west wall is a closed wooden door. ]

It seems your arrival was not entirely without injury, however: Doctor will find themself situated in the very center of the summoning circle, atop of various sharp implements—the murder weapons, perhaps?

While the idol can safely extricate themself for the most part, there's no avoiding the sharp blade that scrapes their shoulderblade. The injury itself is negligible, both in deepness of wound and depth of pain, for it's strangely rather numbing . . . for now.

As time progresses, the idol will begin to exhibit the following symptoms:

Weakness/numbing of limbs
Fever/chills
Dizziness/mind fog
Difficulty moving or staying awake, sluggishness

-oh dear.

[This is not a great place to suddenly find oneself. The smell takes a backseat to the sharp objects immediately surrounding him.

Climbing out of the pile without taking any scrapes is impossible. He lets out an 'ouch', but it's not nearly as painful or as deep as it could have been.]

-I'm alright. Is everyone else okay?

I mean, if you count waking up in a murder basement as okay?

Not my favorite game venue, no.

[Can he get a look at the portrait on the south wall, now?]

[Wandering over toward the east, himself, to check out that fountain]

[ Now that you're closer to the portrait, you can see it's. . .

. . . your unit?

Rather, not just the members of your unit—there are people in this portrait that you may not recognize, but everyone is wearing your unit's fashion, so you can safely assume they're all past members. It's a lovely painting, all things considered, but maybe this setting is not the most lovely place you could be seeing it in. ]

[ It doesn't smell any more pleasant when you approach it. The liquid is murky, thick—it's hard to tell how deep or shallow the fountain runs. ]

[Hmm, don't love that.

Can he take the portrait off the wall? It seems like prime Secret Hiding Location to him.]

[gross gross gross gross]

[Circling back to the summoning circle to grab two of the pointing things -- one that looks like a likely weapon to take with him, and one to use to poke into this fountain, which he does]

[ All the weapons are a little dinged up, all except for a chainsaw which. . . uh, definitely looks like it was used recently.

There's a mace with a chain. Or at least it was a mace, but it's just the handle and the chain now. You can still use it as a sort of fishing rod to tell what's at the bottom, at least!

. . . if there was a bottom, really—the handle hits an object before continuing downwards. Is there a bottom to this thing?? ]

[ You successfully removed the portrait!

Behind it is a depression in the wall, revealing a secret shelf. Here, there are three sets of candles, each set containing three candles.

There's nothing else here. ]

A sudden howl reverberates through the whole building, but especially in the room; the sound is so loud and piercing it feels like ice picks on your eardrums.

Hurricane and everyone who does not cover their ears now exhibit the following symptoms:

Ruptured eardrum(s), icepick-like pain
Dizziness
Partial to complete deafness

The ground begins to shake violently, and blocks of stone that make up the ceiling slip out of their place.

Hurricane and anyone who's not vigilant will find themselves the unfortunate beneficiaries of rocks falling from the ceiling, and will exhibit the following symptoms:

Bleeding
Dizziness
Blunt force trauma (not fatal)
Limb/joint injury

[things he does not especially want: a chainsaw]

[things he even less wants to leave for someone else to get and come after them with: a chainsaw]

[Kind of probing the object the mace hits with the handle, to try and get a feel for the shape of it]

[EARS COVERED, UNROCK SMASHED, BUT]

Hurricane?!

[Clamping his hands over his ears with a little cry]

[He reels a little to the side, off-balance, just in time for...]

[ It's hard, squareish, solid. A block? ]

[Please hold, he sure did get knocked off his fet and is bleeding]

[Can he lever it out by using two weapons like giant chopsticks?]

[ nope, seems like it's pretty solidly stuck there. also it's probably hard to keep trying that when the mansion is trying to kill him ]

[COOL, GREAT

Immediately crouching beside him and tearing off part of his jacket to use as a makeshift bandage.]

[he grabbed a candle set before everything Went To Heck]
