[ It doesn't smell any more pleasant when you approach it. The liquid is murky, thick—it's hard to tell how deep or shallow the fountain runs. ]

[ All the weapons are a little dinged up, all except for a chainsaw which. . . uh, definitely looks like it was used recently.

There's a mace with a chain. Or at least it was a mace, but it's just the handle and the chain now. You can still use it as a sort of fishing rod to tell what's at the bottom, at least!

. . . if there was a bottom, really—the handle hits an object before continuing downwards. Is there a bottom to this thing?? ]

Rather, not just the members of your unit—there are people in this portrait that you may not recognize, but everyone is wearing your unit's fashion, so you can safely assume they're all past members. It's a lovely painting, all things considered, but maybe this setting is not the most lovely place you could be seeing it in. ]
