avante en garde
[ For as long as the game is running, idols will only be able to access the rules on their phones. They may not text/call, nor may they take pictures.
Unit abilities are off. Items are off. Each idol can hold up to 3 items at a time maximum. ]

STARTING EVENT
While the idol can safely extricate themself for the most part, there's no avoiding the sharp blade that scrapes their shoulderblade. The injury itself is negligible, both in deepness of wound and depth of pain, for it's strangely rather numbing . . . for now.
As time progresses, the idol will begin to exhibit the following symptoms:
Re: STARTING EVENT
Mela’s tits.
Re: STARTING EVENT
[FUSSY FUSS, why are we starting like this?!]
Re: STARTING EVENT
[ a brief frown at the feeling of a cut drawn against her skin as she pushes herself into a sitting position, but it's (clearly!) inconsequential ]
I've had so much worse that this doesn't even bear mention.
Re: STARTING EVENT
[But at least she seems NOT BEING KILLED BY SECRET POISON OR SMTH.]
Re: STARTING EVENT
We'll simply have to bring the perpetrators to their due justice. For this and... [ her lips thin as she surveys the scene about them ]
...other, uglier crimes.
[ ....actually wait I can't believe I've been sitting here like "where could one possibly find a weapon"; I'm a brain genius.
May Amaranth turn and pick up one of these sharp implements? What kind of weapons and/or sharps are here? ]
Re: STARTING EVENT
Re: STARTING EVENT
Re: STARTING EVENT
She will pick up the chainsaw though. Worst come to worst... perhaps that can be their way through the door.
As she hefts it, she turns back to Shirasagi. ]
Well.
At least I've landed atop our means to defend ourselves. I believe this mechanical toothed blade is called a "chain-saw."
Re: STARTING EVENT
Re: STARTING EVENT
[ she's up now, dusting herself off a bit before reaching back to double-check the shallow cut across her right shoulder ]
This barely qualifies as a scratch.
Re: STARTING EVENT
That is good. I do not know what I would do should you be grievously injured.
Re: STARTING EVENT
[ a pause, little smirk fading ]
...In truth, though...
This game bears too much resemblance to one of the cruelest we have known in this place. The rules aren't the same, but...
It may be well that both of us are here.
Re: STARTING EVENT
So then we should all stick together? We will not be threats to each other?
Re: STARTING EVENT
The greatest danger is becoming separated. Should one of us fall to madness, none are better equipped to stop them than avante ourselves.
[ a frown, thinking ]
But truly I do not know what to expect from this game—only that, with this beginning, it is sure to be something ugly.
Re: STARTING EVENT
[It's so much. He is a little frozen about it. Like he's worried that the smell of it might trigger something in him. He certainly is not ENJOYING it.]
Re: STARTING EVENT
This is a lot.
She checks her phone, brows furrowed. ]
I can't say I will resent bringing the one responsible for all this to justice, if that is truly our goal.
Re: STARTING EVENT
....... If there is a fight, I fear I may not be able to contribute, Lady Amaranth.
Re: STARTING EVENT
[he's here and why is this]
Re: STARTING EVENT
[ she checks one of her shoulders, giving it a bit of a roll, expression briefly thoughtful ]
Thank you, Elliot.
[ a pause, and then she looks worried ] Is this your first game?
Re: STARTING EVENT
Re: STARTING EVENT
I am sorry, then. I do not know what this game holds, but I have little doubt it will be a cruel one.
Whatever comes to pass, though: only do not forget that we will protect you as much as we can—and that pain and death alike are torments that, in this place, do not last forever. We will all be reunited in the end.
Re: STARTING EVENT
I appreciate the effort, but I don't need to be protected. Whatever happens, I can handle it.
[His pride can't stand feeling weak.]
Re: STARTING EVENT
You are young yet. Old enough to fight, but not so old that Hades and I might freely abandon the duty of any elder.
[ she looks like... early twenties, if that, for all that she definitely talks like she's older. ]
—But more importantly, I ought to say: All of us protect each other. It is our way.
